I've read the Blank Manual thread. I've looked at the threads pertaining to anal sex ... and have not seen anything with this in there. I'm simply curious. I've never done anal before except with my current boyfriend. I enjoy it ... but I just want to know what the physical effects are (besides a slightly sore bum) to make sure that everything's okay. Obviously I know bleeding is a bad thing, and we've discussed that he's to tell me if he notices anything odd ('cause I can't quite glance on back there and see if everything's okay), but I didn't know if anything else was normal/abnormal.

For example, how long before everything comes out? I had a friend who said she would be walking around her house afterward then about 3 hours later have to run to the bathroom. My boyfriend and I usually do this in the shower ... but I've never had a problem with any semen or anything coming out 3 hours later.

Any information would be helpful. I'm not terribly squeamish, just genuinely curious.

I can have lube, air and stuff still coming out the next day in a lot of cases. That's why I prefer not to do anal before a gig. I also tend to wear a pad the next day just in case.

Matt, there is NO safe way to do ass to mouth or ass to vagina without using condoms (which you then take off after it's been in the ass) or washing up thoroughly with soap (preferably anti-bacterial) and hot water between activities. You could give her extremely serious illnesses and infections by going straight to oral or vaginal after anal, and an enema won't help you avoid those because it doesn't kill bacteria.

So, thank your lucky stars your ignorance only resulted in a yeast infection, and start playing safe. If you can't manage to get it in the right hole when you're drunk, either avoid drinking or having sex when drunk.

As I stated, it wasn't done on purpose or often. For whatever reason, a shower has been sufficient to clean up and I've not had any problems. It could be I'm simply not prone to vag infections.

I've never hade problems with anything coming out....but then we don't use lube (which is down to personal preference really) and my husband always wears a condom. I use a mild antiseptic cream after I've been to the toilet and cleaned myself. It minimizes the risk of infection in any tissue damage in the anus and it moisturises the area so it doesn't become dried out afterwards, minimising soreness.

I do usually manage to get most of the semen/lube out by using the toilet but I tend to use a panty-liner if we're going out afterwards, just so I can relax and avoid any potential embarrassment. Nothing like sneezing in public and having 3million sperm unexpectedly hit your gusset.

From what I gather, I don't think there's a uniform experience. It probably depends on your body's natural tolerance, and also exactly how you're doing it.

The main thing is that if you feel genuine pain afterwards, that's your body telling you something's wrong. Then you need to stop and rethink. 1) That's why we use gloves for manual anal play. Then no one has to worry about heavy handwashing, serious nailclipping, or nasty germs getting trapped in the nooks and crannies of the fingers/nails. It's a lot easier to slip off a glove than run to the bathroom to wash our hands well, and the glove serves as a reminder that the gloved hand is dedicated to one activity. The same goes for condoms; we always use them for anal sex and with all but two toys (which can be sanitized and are dedicated to anal on him alone).

Barriers just make for far easier clean-up, less interruption and risk of cross-contamination.
