Blaanid had been doing her best to make it back to her King, their lands had been under siege for years now and he had spent one beautiful night with her six months ago before he was called back to the battles that he was fighting to secure his Kingdom. But now there was no way for her to be able to stay in her father’s home now, she was carrying her King’s child and it was becoming more and more obvious as time had gone on.
Her father had given her a good number of guards to ride with her, to protect her and a possible heir for the King. By the time she had arrived at the King’s palace, she was so tired and sore from the journey that she was ready to pass out.
One of her men had then gone to the main chambers of the palace to get some help for his Lady, no one of course knowing if the King himself was going to be there, or where in the world he was, Blaanid of course wanted to send him a message, but her father had told her not to, that it could put her and her child in danger or it could actually put the King himself in danger. So they had just ridden as fast as Blaanid could, hoping that the King would take her in and give their child his name and protect them against his enemies.
