I've just started posting here and the abusive response to my first story astounded me. There seem to be some sad people here who get their jollys from trawling through this site to find things they can be disgusted by. I suppose in that they mirror the rest of society which is obsessed with sex and promotes singers like Britney Spears and her schoolgirl image but pretends to high moral standing. The prevailing characteristic of our society today seems to be hypocrisy - and scanning through the forums the same people are here.

the forum itself doesn't have quite as many homophobes as the story section has. But those guys think that group sex means one man and many women. Anything else is a personal affront to their manhood.

The political right has sort of painted itself into a corner in the US. You can't win as a republican without running on a platform of "family values". Those "family values" are inconsistent with what most people are doing behind closed doors in one way or another. Candidates who run on a platform of intolerance and judgment deserve much harsher treatment than those who run on a platform of liberal/libertarian openness.

Bear in mind that pastors who advocate a healthy, exciting sex life IN MARRIAGE are viewed as controversial by a lot of social conservatives. There's enough of them that believe the whole "sex is only for procreation" thing to make a very dangerous tight-rope.

And seeing as she was a "family values", Christian conservative, abstinence-only kind of gal (in public), her writing was WAY off from her public persona. Agreed, James, the inconsistency (oh hell, let's call it what it is: Hypocritical behavior) tends to bite such people in the ass when it's illuminated.

Unless she introduced legislation against the written word, I don't see anything hypocritical. Writing about fantasies has nothing to do with Family Values. I really don't see how a fictional story could be anti-family. Sure, the site is sponsored by hardcore porn, you can buy sex toys, show yourself naked and all that, but a fantasy has nothing to do with how you act as a lawmaker or public servant.
