In the darkness, the soothing sound of waves crashing upon the shore brought Elissa back to conciousness. Groaning, she rolled from her stomach onto her side, her sight blurry for a moment before clearing. Watching the sea, she could only think she was dreaming until a plank of wood hit her foot. Her attention drifted from it to the large jagged rock on the edge of the beach, and the boat that had been speared by it. It took a moment for her to put two and two together, her sense of detachment due to her situation made it difficult for her to think clearly.

Soon she realized what had happened, and the memories came flooding back. A princess of the kingdom of Yew, she was traveling by ship with her servants; a small attachment of guards and her handmaidens. They were to be going to a distant land where her new husband awaited her. She was to become his wife, and become Queen of his kingdom. That night, on the boat, a storm grew overhead, and it seemed to overshadow everything. She remembered feeling a deep sense of forboding. It seemed her intuition had been right.

Pushing herself to her feet, she saw no one else in sight. It seemed there were no survivors, and Elissa was on her own. What would she do? How would she survive? She had never been taught what to do if such a situation as this occured. A Princess like herself was supposed to have some guard or servant do everything for her! But it appeared that such a thing would be unlikely now. If there was nothing edible here, then she would die a slow, hungry, death.

Turning to walk away from the destroyed boat, she saw the tip of a sail, traveling behind a large hill as it rounded about the island. Oh, thank the gods, she was saved! Rushing towards this boat and waving her hands, she yelled at the top of her lungs, "HELP! HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP-"

The voice died in her throat as the boat came fully into view. It's sail held the symbol of a skull and crossbones. That was something she had learned about as a young girl. It meant that it was a pirate ship! From what she could see, it was obvious they saw her, and considering the extravagant, but rather torn, dress she wore, there wasn't a doubt in their mind what class she came from.

What was better? Living on this island in fear of pirates? Or should she go with them? If she did, chances were she would either die, or be used constantly as their own play toy. However, on board that ship, she might be fed, maybe even taken care of. Perhaps if she told them who she was, and gave them proof of her royalty, they would keep her alive so that her father, the King, might pay them a ransom!

She made her decision, however terrible the consequences might be, and waited on the shore.

Captain Maya

"Enter," Maya said as she toyed with the chart on her table, a bottle of fine spiced rum balanced on one shapely, leather-clad thigh. She hardly looked up as the first-mate, a strapping youth with a heavilly scarred chest stepped in to her cabin.

"Captain," Kesker said, "It seems like we've got a survivior on one of the atolls after all. Good plan, heading back to check."

"Of course it was a good plan. I came up with it!" Maya answered. Her jade eyes glittered as she looked up at Kesker, her curly crimson locks framing her deeply tanned face. "Any clue as to who it is?"

"Looks like a woman, captain. Maybe even royalty, judging by the remains of her dress."

Interesting. Maya put the bottle of rum down and stood, taking a moment to stretch. Her leather and silk outfit creaked and stretched against her as well. Cut and tailored more to show off her ample curves, Maya found that reveling in her body's pleasing shape often provided better protection on the high seas than full armor. At least it was easy to swim in it if you ever took an unscheduled dip off the side.

"A woman, huh? Perhaps that ship we'd been trailing was one of the royal galleons after all," she mused, more to herself than to her first mate.

"What are your orders, Captain?"

Maya tapped a finger to her lips, then brushed by the bulky pirate to step onto the deck of the Scarlet Maiden, her pride and joy. The ship was sleek and fast, and her hull fitted with the best reinforcement plating she could afford. Her crew had gathered on the port railing, watching the beach on the low atoll about 200 yards out.

"I hear we have a survivor!" she said as she took position at the ship's wheel. Her crew scrambled to position before her. All men, all scurvy and grizzled and rough, none of them would dare think of trying to take advantage of the Captain. Maya's reputation reached far and wide across the seas; her skill with the cutlass was surpassed only by her skill at unmanning and humiliating anyone who dared try to lay claim to her.

"Take the boat and gather her up. Bring her to my cabin, but leave her unmolested. If she's important, we'll need her whole for the ransom. If she's just a maid or a servant, I'll let you have her."

With that, she turned and entered her cabin, taking up position by the rear window and waiting to see what the storm had brought her.

Elissa

Elissa watched silently as the ship slowed down, and several of it's crew climbed into the smaller boat to get to shore. There, she watched the pirate scum disembark and head towards her, looking ready if she tried something. At this point, there wasn't much turning back. Her body ached, and what little strength she had was failing. There was no doubt in her mind that she wouldn't be able to keep standing much longer, her knees beginning to shake as her resolve faded.

Nodding to the men, she began walking towards the small boat. In fact, the pirates had probably respected resistance, and seemed stunned that she would willingly go with them. Her steps weakly carried her to it, stepped in, and then she collapsed onto the seat. Sapped of any energy, her body tired and exhausted after the crash, the Princess laid where she was, fading into unconciousness as the Captain's henchmen got back in and rowed back to the main ship.

Once back on board the Scarlet Maiden, Kesker and his men brought the sleeping Princess Elissa into the Captain's cabin, laying her down on the bed. She was so innocent and unprotected, her worn and tattered dress revealing much of her lovely young legs, as well as giving the men a view of the cleavage of her ripe, firm breasts. If it weren't for the Captain Maya, they would have pounded her hard and good, all night long, and passed her from crewmen to crewmen like a bottle of rum.

However, their Captain was Maya, and considering the rather obvious noble appearance of their captive, it was unlikely she would allow their prize to be tainted. The girl was a noble, it was clear as day to anyone who looked upon her. She was beautiful, having the strong, proud, features of royal blood. Her dark, curly brown hair poured over her shoulders and across the bed in the immediate vicinity of her head, and her pale skin was bruised in several places. It was a bizarre twist of fate that she survived the crash, especially with what minimal damage she suffered.

It only took a few moments before the Princess regained conciousness, her eyes opening to reveal their bright green color. Her vision was hazy for a moment, but time allowed focus, and soon she saw the pirate captain Maya standing over her. Immediately, she backed away, looking up at the beautiful and proud pirate, "Wha.. what do you want?"

Captain Maya

Maya didn't answer the captive. She simply looked her over, up and down, taking in her form. The woman was indeed striking. Maya was honestly a bit impressed with her men; they'd managed to deliver her without molesting her in the slightest, and that either meant they'd lost interest in women or they were more frightened of Maya than even she thought. She found herself hoping it was the latter of the two.

Finally, after letting the woman squirm and whimper for a good two minuets, Maya spoke, her voice soft and silky, yet betraying no hint of weakness or friendship.

"You do not ask the questions, girl. You have been rescued by the Scarlet Maiden, but your well-being is far from assured. Displease me, and the best you can hope for is to be thrown to a ship full of violent men... men who've not had a chance to bed a woman for some months now."

She paused to let the threat sink in, then crossed the cabin to sit in her favorite chair, a high-backed affair they'd looted from a shoreline temple several months ago. Pulling her knife and spinning it on her fingers, Maya spoke again.

"I have some questions for you. Answer them truthfully, and we may yet be able to be friends. First; your name. Next; your role in socitey; who are you and what do you do. And finally, why do you think I should keep you alive?"

Elissa

The Princess glared at her captor, her gaze hard until she looked away, unwilling to do anything that might cause her to be raped and tortured by the woman's crew. Her sigh was heavy, and she looked absolutely defeated. What could she do now? She was nothing but a prisoner.

"I.. I am Elissa, and I am Princess of Yew. My father will pay whatever ransom you request of him, I assure you."

Slowly, Elissa sat up, going light headed an instant later and almost fainting again. However, she was able to hold on, sitting on the edge of the bed as she looked at the Captain Maya. She had never heard of any female captains before, as it was difficult to get a crew that would follow a woman. But apparently, this woman had what it took to gather a crew and command her own pirate ship.

"I have nothing to offer you except for my word that the king will pay for my safe return. If it is not enough, then you may kill me. That is all I have, and nothing else."

Captain Maya

Maya's eyebrows arched in surprise as Elissa introduced herself, revealing her royalty.

"Well, well, well! That is interesting, my little dove. Strange... I can't help but wonder what a princess of Yew might be doing on a ship this far from the mainland. You weren't being naughty, were you? Running away from home, perhaps?"

As she waited to see if Elissa would answer, Maya shifted in her chair, draping one shapely leg over one of its arms and propping her chin up in her hand, her elbow resting on the other chair arm as she studied her catch.

"In any event... we're not heading back toward Yew for a while. We've got a full cargo, princess, and we need to head to Port Bitterbay to offload it all. When we get there, I may or may not send word to your father asking for ransom. I may just save some time and sell you to a slaver and let him deal with wrangling the ransom money. Or I might even keep you around for my collection." The captain shrugged. "Who knows? In any case, we've got another good week at sea, so I suppose I need to find you somewhere to sleep. And perhaps put you to work." She sized up the princess with an appraising eye.

"So tell me, princess. Is there anything you can do, other than get shipwrecked on deserted islands in the middle of the sea?"

Elissa

Elissa glanced back toward the pirate Captain, shaking her head, "I was not running away. I am to marry the King of Chendry, but my ship crashed here."

The Princess' green eyes lingered on Maya, watching those long legs and the way that the pirate's attire accentuated her curves. Dizziness overtook her, and she held her head with one hand, trying to regain her focus. Watching this vagabond, this rogue, who would use her to extort money from her father, made her feel strange. She had felt the beginnings of some new and unknown sensation.

Pushing the thoughts from her mind, she returned her attention to the woman who was now speaking. Nodding her head slowly, she now realized what thin ice she treaded upon. It was obvious that she needed to stay in the Captain's good graces, or she might end up in some worse situation, "Collection?"

Feeling those eyes upon her, she unconciously wrapped her arms around herself, obscuring the teasing view of her bosom and the highest portions of her thighs, "I.. I can do whatever you wish for me to do."

Captain Maya

Maya sneered at the woman as she fell to begging.

"Don't be so quick to promise me anything, princess. You might just catch me in a bad mood..." She held the princess' gaze for a moment then, her eyes cold and almost cruel in their appraisal of the young woman. She saw the princess freeze under that gaze, and knew she'd caught her. Maya was, after all, a bit mroe than human... part of the reason she was able to keep her crew in line was due to her connection to the capricious spirits of the sea. She held her gaze on Elissa long enough that she was sure the princess could feel the cold waves lapping at her flesh, feel the brush of unseen sea creaters against her toes, feel the vast power of the ocean all around her. Long enough for her to realize that a portion of that vast power was personified, in some way, in the leather and silk clad pirate captain that sat before her.

Finally, Maya broke the gaze and smiled. "Fortunately, you've caught me on a good day. We've got a full cargo and we're on our way home, and it looks like we've got a neat little prize to boot." She glanced back at the woman and threw her a playful wink. "Meaning you, of course."

Maya stood and stretched, then strolled across the cabin to retrieve a new bottel of spiced rum from the display over her bunk. As she opened it and poured a glass for herself and then a glass for her "guest" she asked, "On your way to marry the King, eh? I assume that's some sort of foolish arrangement at your father's hands, yes? And they say we pirates are the barbaric ones. At least we let our children love and fuck who they want. Say, you ever try any of this spiced rum? I suppose not... it's not a very ladylike drink for a princess. But as long as you're on my ship, you're hardly a princess, are you?" Maya held out one of the rum-filled glasses for Elissa to take.

There was no hope of escaping now. After all, she was trapped on a ship full of bloodthirsty pirates, and outside that was a desolate island. As long as she was here, she decided she might as well attempt to survive. And, well, she could use something to drink. Reaching out, she took that glass of rum, taking a sip and then immediately holding her chest and letting out the sort of sound one gives when they've tasted something revolting.

Slowly, the effect subsided, and she took another sip. Wincing at first, but she began to be able to take it. After a few sips, all the rum was gone, and Elissa held the glass out, "More, please."

Captain Maya

Maya smiled as she watched the delicate princess drink the rum, then cheered as she finished and asked for more.

"Bravo, my little dove!" she said as she refilled her mug with the sparkling amber liquid. "You certainly downed that stuff like a pirate, if with a little bit of sputtering here and there. Maybe you're made of stronger stuff than I thought."

Maya leaned back in her chair, propping her feet up on her table and taking a long pull from the bottle. She wiped her lips with the back of her gloved hand and sighed in delight. It was good rum, after all. Maya took pride in the fact that she only stole the best.

"So tell me, Elissa. What is it a princess can do? I mean, they do teach you something at princess finishing school, yes? I haven't had the occasion to spend much time with royalty, you see. Of course, if you don't have any real skills, I suppose you can spend the rest of the trip in the brig. Nasty place, the brig. I hear the rats down there have learned to use daggers."

The Princess was horrified. After all, what had she done to deserve this? Frowning, she looked down, hoping to find out what she could do. Looking up, she blinked, "Well, I could possibly clean? I can perform the chef's duties to an extent. But I am uncertain of what you wish for me to do. I.. I'm not entirely sure what you want."

Looking down, Elissa reached out with her glass, "Please? Some more? I beg of you, don't imprison me. I will do anything if you won't leave me down there with the rats! And the men! They.. they might harm me!"

Captain Maya

Maya's eyes narrowed as she sized up her prisoner.

"Well, aside from this room, the ship's pretty much as clean as she's gonna get. Pirates aren't the cleanest critters on the sea, yeah? And they're superstitious too. Start moving around their buckets and ropes and rapiers and they get all weird. So I'm going to have to pass on the offer for cleaning."

Maya stood, then paced back and forth before Elissa. "As for cooking, well, Chaffie's been the Scarlet Maiden's cook from the start. He's only got one good eye, and one working leg. He's no good in a fight, but he's an ace cook. I'm afraid if I took his job and gave it to someone else, he'd feed himself to the fish out of despair. So no luck there either."

She cocked her head down at the princess as she asked for more rum. Maya hesitated, then poured her another shot before crossing over to sit in her large bed. She kicked off her boots and stretched her toes.

"I'll tell you what, though. There IS something needing some cleaning. My feet. Go fill that tub with water, heat it, then come over here and wash this grit out from between my toes, princess. And then you can massage them. It's been too long since I've had a good foot massage. OR... if you'd rather not, I suppose the rats are lonely and looking for company..."

The situation began to look increasingly bleak as there seemed to be no options for her besides a rat infested existence until she was rescued. Downing the shot, she shuddered, better able to handle the rum now, and glad that it seemed to calm her nerves. With a sigh of relief, she moved to the bucket, picked it up, and set to work.

It took some time getting water and warming it, but Princess Elissa did return with what the pirate desired. Closing her eyes, she began cleaning the woman's feet. She had no want to see what she was doing. When the grit was gone, and the Captain's feet clean, the princess dried them, and then set to work on massaging them.

She had no former experience at massaging feet, so it was all trial and error. At first clumsy, but gaining some semblence of ability. As she continued, her massaging got better and better until she was performing adequately. Opening her eyes finally, she looked up, "What now..?"

Captain Maya

The massage had been adequate. Given the alternatives, of course (a bunch of rough-handed pirates), it was heaven. Maya wiggled her toes and sighed contently.

"Well... not the best massage, but good enough. Felt pretty good, to tell the truth." She sat up on the bed, leaning in to look Elissa in the eyes. Their faces were only inches away; several of Maya's thin red braids slid down over her shoulders to tickle the princess here and there. At the same time, her silk and leather bodice hung more open, displaying a fairly ample view of cleavage to the princess.

"So tell me, Princess. What did cleaning and massaging a pirate's feet feel like? Did you enjoy it?"

The Princess' eyes were drawn directly to that cleavage. She stared at that crevice of flesh before forcing her eyes away to stare right back into Maya's. She hardly realized she hadn't spoken in minutes until she got the look from the Captain, "Well, to be quite honest, I did not enjoy the cleaning. The massage however was alright. Your hands are quite soft."

Looking away towards the floor, she found her eyes make their way back to that cleavage before travelling to the Captain's gaze again, "So, yes, I enjoyed it, somewhat. Now, what do you want from me?"

Captain Maya

Maya, of course, noticed Elissa staring at her cleavage. She'd leaned forward precisely for that effect, and now that she saw that Elissa was into her, at least on some level, Maya realized what job she wanted her new playmate to serve on the ship.

The captain slid off her bed and went to the door to her cabin, opening it and leaning out. One of her men stood guard there; he snapped to attention as Maya appeared.

"I'm not to be disturbed for the rest of the evening, unless we're under attack. Keep your watch at the bow. Move!"

The pirate grinned lecherously, knowing full well what his Captain was up to, and knowing better than to comment. Maya slid back inside the cabin and locked the door before she sat at her table. She pushed the other chair out with a bare foot and nodded her head, indicating that Elissa should sit there. While she waited for her new playmate to sit, Maya spoke.

"So. I bet a beautiful princess like you had a huge list of suitors lined up, right? How about it? You ever try anything funny with any of them? I know you were off to be married, but I'm sure someone like you didn't get to your age a virgin, right?"

Sitting down, Elissa blinked, not entirely sure what was happening. The question surprised her, and gave her away as a blush grew upon her face. Resting a hand on her cheek, she looked down, "I, uh, well, er, yes. I am no longer a virgin. I gave myself to my father's most loyal servant and Knight in his armies."

Her eyes lit up at the thought of that glorious night. But it went away when she realized where she was, and who was looking at her. Frowning, she looked away sternly, "Why are you asking this? What do you want from me, pirate?"

Captain Maya

"Hmmmm," Maya mused. "I thought as much. And I suppose he went to war, your Knight? And you felt bound to him, and didn't want to offer yourself to anyone else, yes? And when it came down from on high that you were to marry this other man, I bet that just ate away at you, didn't it?" Maya cocked her head and waited to see if her words had any effect on the princess, knowing that if she was going to have her herself, she wanted the princess to give herself freely. Maya found it easy enough to take anyone she wanted, but that got old quick. What really turned her on was when someone she found attractive gave themselves willingly to her.

She had a feeling that it was going to take a bit of work and careful wordplay to get the princess to that state, but she was sure that, by sunrise, they'd be rutting like rabbits.

Elissa was practically staring at the Captain, who spoke as though she had been there. Nodding her head, her breath quickened, "Yes! Exactly."

Frowning again, she looked down and shook her head, "Oh, dear, I do miss Sir Roderick. The way he held me, kissed me, loved me," Blushing again, she felt absolutely embarrased. Why was she sharing the story of her secret love with a pirate? Why was she willing to speak about this sort of thing with a woman like Maya? She had no answers for the questions, but she just kept talking.

"I wish I could be with him again, just once. I wish he could take me like he did that first night, so gentle and loving. Oh, I miss him so much! I just know he will survive the war, and when I am returned, I will be with him again!"

Captain Maya

Perfect thought Maya.

"And how long has it been since your night with him, Maya? It's been a while, hasn't it. Maybe a year? Maybe two? A lot of men don't come back from wars, you know. And not just because they're killed. Sometimes... sometimes they find lives that suit them better, and simply don't return to what they left behind." Maya allowed her eyes to get misty. She, of course, had been in a similar situation, except it was she who had abandoned a naive lover, not the other way around. She never once felt regret for the decision either, but it was certainly handy experience to draw upon now, to try to get Elissa's emotions worked up to a point where she'd be willing to act upon her true nature.

"And even if he does return from the war, do you really think he'll be the same person? Especially after he finds out your father has sent you off to be married on some distant shore? Would he stand up for your love? Or would he remain the loyal soldier you fell for, and maintain his loyalty to his king?"

Looking down, Elissa saw the whole thing. This woman was so right, and by the looks of it, had suffered a similar fate. This pirate's experience was so much like her own, that she couldn't help but wonder the events would follow as they appeared to have for Maya. Her own eyes became misty as she envisioned it, imagining him settling down in some foreign land with a new lover, a new wife, and raising a family. One day he would forget about her.

But there was also the chance he would return, but what then? Would he defy the king? No, Sir Roderick was fiercly loyal, and he would leave her to be married to some old king while he find a new woman. Looking up at Maya, distraught, she asked, "But, who shall I find happiness with then? Who will love me like he did?"

Captain Maya

"Who indeed?" Captain Maya said. "I'm sure that the man who your father had arranged for you to marry is a busy man himself. A marriage like that... it's one of allegiances and alliances. It's not one of love. He probably already has a harem of his own, or at the very least a mistress in whom he can sate his lusts as he needs. You'd have been little more than a showpiece, Elissa. If it wasn't for me sinking your ship, you'd be locked in a loveless life until you were an old woman."

Maya opened the bottle of rum again, and this time didn't pour any into Elissa's glass. Instead, she handed her the whole bottle.

"You know, in a way, me sinking your ship and saving you from that fate is probably about the most kind thing anyone's ever done for you in your whole life."

Elissa took the bottle, drinking from it and nodding her head angrily, "You're right. He'd have used me, then gone on to have his way with more beautiful concubines. And where would I be? Trapped? Without love? I want to be loved. I want to be happy. Not forced to marry a man who won't appreciate me and care for me!"

Taking another swig, she pointed at Maya, "You're absolutely correct. You saved my life, and for that, I am eternally grateful. I just wish there was some way I could repay you for rescuing me from a life as worthless symbol of a political alliance."

Captain Maya

"Well... you ARE an important person, Princess," Maya said. "I could make a lot of money ransoming you back to your father OR off to your new husband-to-be." She straightened up in her chair. "But fortunately for you, I'm not into ransoms. They never work out; the person always thinks they can track you down and they're usually right. Ransom is just a short, more convenient word for, 'invitation to be tracked down and thrown in chains,' you know."

"But... I suppose if you really do want to thank me... well... captaining a ship like this is pretty stressful. And the more I think of it, the more that foot massage was really nice. Could you... could you give me a little bit more of that? A massage?" Maya lay down on her bed, burying her arms under her six poofy pillows. "My back is really killing me, actually..."

The Princess nodded her head, taking another swig of rum before moving from her seat to sit down on the bed beside the captain. If she had been thinking differently, now would have been the perfect chance to escape. However, Maya's words had given her a new found sense about herself. She felt like a new person, and now she wanted to help relieve some of that stress that was bothering the pirate captain.

Reaching out, Elissa began to untie that bodice that she wore. When it was completely undone, she gently lifted the pirate captain up to move it way from her. Then, taking the bottom end of her shirt, lifted it upwards until she had access to that back. Resting her hands upon that soft, creamy, skin, the princess began massaging the pirate's back, sighing a bit herself, "You're very soft. I'm surprised you stay so soft considering what you do."

Those hands traveled up and down, up and down, working the small of her back, and then sliding up to squeeze and massage those shoulders. It was surprising how willing she was to work like this, considering her royal heritage. However, she seemed to enjoy helping her new captor, "Am I doing alright, miss?"
