I've been following this , but I havent brought it up on here.. ebcause quite honestly it depresses the fuck out of me... but every day I get to learn some more of the incompetence and indiffierence of the VPD and the RCMP
first of all, he has confessed to the murders of 49 women... but that wasnt taken seriously, so that was never investigated
now we're finding out that charges of attempted murder were dropped against him because his single solitary victim that survived was a drug addict... and that despite waiving counsel, the RCMP still managed to botch his interview by letting one of his friends sit in and feed Pickton answers
and we've discovered that documents about the " joint" investigation of the VPD and RCMP had when they were " vigorously" pursuing the Pickton investigation have magically seemed to have been destroyed now that the inquiry is demanding them to be shown
that the one detective on the VPD that believed reports that dozens of women were being tortured , killed and fed to pigs.. was taken off the investigation because the VPD didnt believe it could be true
but what I think are the two most digusting byproducts of this inquiry is how the government is circling thier wagons and throwing money at the VPD and RCMP to help them with their legal defense.. whilst the ones pressing the inquiry are doing this pro bono
and secondly... that neither of those two agencies is willing to step up and admit they completely bungled even bothering to investigate one of the worlds worst serial killers
