Desmond Mason belied his 45 years with his youthful looks which had served him well when doing business. It no longer came as a surprise to him that when negotiating a deal his opponent treated him as a naive kid fresh out of business school only to find that he or she had been outmaneuvered to the cost of several thousand dollars. Work though was his life and he had no time for socialising and finding a partner to share his wealth but now he felt it was time to find a wife without going through the hassle of finding the right woman and courting her, he hadn't the time or the patience for that so he would treat the process as one of his deals.
The party was for young single girls and their parents, all of whom worked for Desmond,
Desmond watched from the top of the stairs at the bevy of beautiful young women chatting together whilst their parents were the other side of the room wondering why they had been invited along with their daughters. The invitation had been explicit, no boyfriends, fiances, brothers the only males invited were the fathers of the girls.
He made his way down to join them and selected one at random and took her to one side and asked,
"You may think this an odd question to ask at our first meeting but do you have a boyfriend and are you a virgin?"
The young woman looked scandalised and told him it was none of his damned business.
"Very well you have the right to refuse to answer my questions in which case I would be obliged if you would leave now with your parents."
He continued this with the other girls sometimes getting the same reaction and they were also told to leave, some confided that they had a boyfriend but they were still virgins but prepared to give it up that very night to him. Again these girls were told to leave, there were now just two left. One was a fairly tall girl with a stunning figure and a very high opinion of herself from what he had heard when the girls were talking among themselves. He approached the two young women and said to the tall girl,
"I am afraid you don't meet my standards of behaviour, please leave."
"Oh, I'm going alright this was a crap party anyhow." She flounced off leaving just one more to question. Desmond hadn't really noticed her before as she had kept in the background and seemed rather shy. She was dressed in an pale off the shoulder dress and long braided hair but looked uncomfortable at now being the focus of his attention.
"You are the last one, I may as well ask you the same questions as the others none of which gave me the answers I wanted."
He looked over at her parents watching them both and he changed his line of questioning,
"Do you love your parents? Would you like to see them with no money worries. Now for the more personal questions, do you have a boyfriend? Most importantly you must tell me the truth, are you a virgin?"
