in no particular order

put these on a CD, hit random play....

1-Jukebox Hero (Foreigner)
2-Bat out of Hell (Meatloaf)
3-Margaritaville (Jimmy Buffett)
4-Uncle John's Band (Grateful Dead)
5-Baba O'Riley (The Who)
6-Tom Sawyer (Rush)
7-Pour Some Sugar on Me (Def Leppard)
8-Freebird (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
9-We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions (Queen)
10-Stairway to Heaven (Led Zepplin)

I think my head may explode if I heard

Pour Some Sugar on Me
followed immediately by
Margaritaville
followed then by
freebird

No doubt all great songs, but on the same disc, in possible succession.

yeah, but wouldn't the odds against them coming all in a row be 1000:1? 10*10*10? ;)

a good point, but is it a risk worth taking? yeah I think so . . . a good list.

Maybe they're trying to tell you something. You didn't call someone Nilla did ya?

This is a fucking album! You have to decide what order the tracks go in. You think the A&R guys draw the song titles out of a hat? The flow is the make or break of an album.

And this is a rock album. I don't fucking waltz to rock albums, do you?

you're gonna make my head explode choosing

Sheesh, like I have enough recall to know which songs totally kick my ass out of all of 'em....(do you know how many mix tapes I've made just for that very reason?) <grin>

not that cool!

It's much cooler if you hit random play so that you aren't subjected to the compiler's ideas about the "flow" of the songs and are able to experience your own ideas about what should follow what.

Good choices except Duran Duran (on a rock album?) Gimmie Shleter, great track if only to hear Merry Clayton sing the support vocals. they spelt her name wrong on the original album. I have a copy of Merry Clayton's first album which she did Gimmie Shleter on it, produced by the Glimmer Twins.

AC/DC - It's a long way to the Top is my favorite
