She stood before the long mirror looking over her everyday body. It was time to apply the makeup that her fans wanted to see. Her eyes needed their highlights, her hair needed its curl. Soon she would not be the plain Jane everyone had never noticed before. She would be Pepper McDonald, actress.
Pepper had had a rough life. She was the poor girl from the streets of Texas only five years before. She was holding her son as she watched the big screne wishing that she had a chance in hell to be on there. It was her dream. Her fantasy.
Now, here she was preparing for what would be her forth movie in only three years. He son, now six years old, was still the pride of her life, but there were movies that she loved too.
She could hob nob with all the others, but her roots were still in the streets of Texas. She would often put on a disquise, hiding her signature red hair and her seductive blue eyes to stroll the boulevards that she once called home.
Every once in a while someone would ask her why she seemed so familiar. She would just giggle and say, "Because I will be in the movies one day." Little did they know who they were talking too.
But now she stood in front of her mirror almost ready. There was a knock on her door. "Who is it?" She called.
"Mrs. McDonald, your limo is here."
"Coming dear!" She called. She started moving to the door, but her foot snagged the carpeting. She tripped hitting her head on the corner of the dressing table.
Her next view was of a misty sailor looking down at her.
