Comparatively lenient laws
Before its 2018 reforms, Missouri had one of the country's most lenient marriage laws, with no minimum age and little oversight for minors. For example:
  • A 15-year-old only needed a single parental signature to get married.
  • Children 14 and younger required a judge's approval, but there was no statutory minimum age.
  • In contrast, other states that permitted marriage for those 15 and younger generally required more stringent conditions, such as the consent of both parents or proof of pregnancy.

A "destination wedding spot"
Missouri's lax laws made it a destination for child marriages, attracting couples from other states with stricter regulations. A 2018 analysis by the Kansas City Star found that between 1999 and 2015, more than 1,000 child brides were married in Missouri, with some traveling from as far away as Oregon and Florida.

The article goes on to point out that despite Moon's objections based on religious and parental rights, he ultimately voted in favor of the 2025 bill that moved the age to eighteen, aligning it with international standards for marriage consent.

You kinda need to answer MY question first, or what's the point of this exchange. :)
I did answer your question.

States rights are regarding the procedure not medical terms

A child does not exist until completion of birth in every state.

It's not a state's right to determine whether or not it's citizens may kill their unborn child or not.? :)

Is it strictly a red state/blue state dividing line? I don't know.
No
Literally the term "unborn child" is a made up thing that doesn't exist. To be a child requires birth. So not being born = not being a child.

So states can't decide which child gets born and which child doesn't? :)

State rights only apply if it's the right to kill your unborn child. :)
That's a poorly educated perspective.

Roe v. Wade was a national case, and Trumpist States claimed that they had the right to ignore it.
Once that was established they claimed that they had the right to enforce their views on the rest of the country.
