(Looking for 1 female to join me in this. PM me with your interrest and i will tell you my idea.)
New Mexico 1879
Chance arrived at the campfire late at night with a young man in his company. The two men sitting beside the fire looked at the newcomer with suspicion. They had only expected Chance back and not so late. It only took one look at Chance for them to hold in any questions they might have. Dave Fallon was more than a little curious. The young man had the stance of a gun fighter and his eyes was seemingly older than he otherwise looked. He seemed to always know where his gun hand where and kept it free and close to his gun belt. A born killer Dave thought to himself, and not older than eighteen. Why the hell did Chance bring a killer in their midst?
Luke Morris just took a look first at the kid and then to Chance and simply accepted it. He was the oldest of the outlaws and trusted Chance with his life. If he thought it safe to bring the kid in it was good enough for Luke.
Soon the kid went away to sleep alone, away from the camp. Dave Fallon look long at Chance before he open his mouth.
"Why did you bring him here? We are wanted men and i don't trust him."
"He saved my life Dave, i owed him." Chance simply responded.
"Saved your life? How old are he? Eighteen?" Dave was stunned. Chance was good with the six shooter and had a good head on his shoulders. He rarely got himself into trouble. At least not when he wasn't backed up by Dave and Luke.
"Yes, he are eighteen and yes he saved my life. If you will be quiet i will tell you how." Chance smile toward his friends.
"I was in the middle of a poker game, and i was winning. Winning honestly." He said with a grin.
"One of the fellows i played with suddenly got it in his head that i was cheating and got to his feet. If it had been only him that was upset i hadn't worried but his two friends made it an uneven match. It seemed more than likely that they would draw but then i heard the kid say, You are three against one. I will side with you mister to make it more even." Chance nodded and continued his story.
"He must have a sort of reputation as the three men did not seem to eager to continue their squabble and left in a hurry. I went over to the kid with my thanks and he said his name was Ty Donaldson. I offered him to ride with us and he accepted. He may be young but don't underestimate him."
Dave nodded slowly and glanced over at the lonely figure a bit from the camp. Somehow he felt that the kid was missplaced among them.
