There are many music lovers out there posting on our board.

with many of us having music as a way of life.

this thread is here for all us to get together and chat on whatever musical questions or issues are being thought at the moment.

wether it be a review of a gig/album/single or wether it be a general question regarding information from other music lovers out there.

this will help bring us all together and aware of each others music loves.

i'll begin with a review of a gig i went to yesterday

Strife/Scarhead @ London's Highbury Garage

travelled 150miles to london cramped up in the back of a transit van with sheets over us so no police cameras could see us.

the support act scarhead were awesome. knowing exactly how to get a crowd going.

the pit was a swirlling mass of flailing limbs by the time they finnished.

strife followed and blew everyone away.

we met them after the gig and got autographs signed.

drove back afterwards and got home at 3.30am

a good day had by all

no not as far as i've ever heard. the band was slated to be the original led zeppelin, jonesy was to be keyboards, but it all fell apart wheh entwhistle and moon decided to return to the ever battling who......................it would have been a hellva band though.

and it would have been even better if they had signed sandy denny up for more apperances with th band.

(she is ex - fairport convention and she sang on The battle of evermore)

ex-fairport convention and an art school pal of jimmy page's. she did have a fantastic voice and worked very well with robert plant's on evermore. although najma akhtar was equally good on the unledded version of the same song in `94..,, funny little aside about evermore is that john paul jones acted as the second voice during zeppelin's last u.s. tour in 1977.
