I keep running across pics that I think would be a good Av for someone here, and people keep posting new threads asking for Avs, or asking how to find an Av, how to create an Av, or to have an Av resized, cropped, whatever.

Wouldn't it be nice if instead of having to go back and look for all the Avatar threads for a possible Av, etc. - we had one place on Lit where we could save created Avs, with info on where to find other Avs, how to resize them, etc.?

Failing that, I suggest we have just one thread where this takes place: here.

I am starting off with an Av I created from an Av I found. Hopefully one of the ladies will eventually use it and any other Avs I and others place here.

There's only one problem, STG. This thread would be like a never ending thread. No one would go through all the pages to look at the pictures.

Plus, after sixty days the pics would go away. Nothing is perfect, and I would prefer a place, maybe among the amateur pics section (not the board, but near the stories), then people could look over stuff there.

I don't know that this thread would be all that long though.

Well, just speaking for myself, you are a very lovely lady, and I prefer to see real people's photos over a drawing, especially when they are beautiful.

I think it's a good idea. If not post them, then maybe you could be a source for someone to call upon when they are looking for something specific.

I sort of think people should come across avs on their own, for it to have any significance. It exists to indiviualize each poster.

This is a good idea. Now people can test avs out, and such before commiting. Also, it saves on a bunch of testing ground threads from being made.

I can dig what MM is saying. I've just had no luck sticking to one, because I am a multifaceted nutjob.

I have a stock pile though, and I would rather see them being used, than sitting on my hard drive.

I wasnt trying to put a damper on this thread or say people shouldnt change them. I change mine all the time. of course, if it eliminates the 3-a-night 'i need an av' threads then thats a good thing.
