I'm excited about Hitchhiker, too! I'm also looking forward to Sin City. And Hostage was an excellent book, but I don't know if the movie will be as good.

I'm excited about Hitchhiker, too! I'm also looking forward to Sin City. And Hostage was an excellent book, but I don't know if the movie will be as good.

Hostage was a decent enough way to spend two rainy day hours. Typical Bruce Willis/Die Hard actioner, but the violence toward kids put me off a bit. Had a whole lot going on in it, maybe too much at some points. Didn't read the book but I hope it was better.

I"ve only seen trailers on any of these. Hitchhiker looks like it may be especially good, but I'm afraid of Hostage .... looks like it was changed into a simplistic Hollywood action flick and not much meat was left .... but I'll go see it anyway!

Thanks for the "Hostage" movie info. I read the book, Hostage , by Robert Crais, a couple of years ago and I loved it. But I really, really, really like Crais (particularly his Elvis Cole series).

I wasn't sure the movie and the book were related until I saw the new cover of the book (with Willis) at the bookstore. I might just avoid the movie (or catch it on DVD). I so dislike when they take a perfectly good book and make a perfectly mediocre/bad movie out of it.

I was looking at the graphic novel it's based on Sunday. I haven't read it and I was tempted to buy it, but the bloody thing was $15.00. I decided to try to get it through the library, instead.

I wish I did have someone like you to go to movies with. No one wants to go see the screwy movies with me. I have one friend who won't tell me no, but I feel guilty making him go when I know he's just going for me. I feel responsible if he doesn't like it and that sucks the joy for me.

I don't mind if you lust after Alba. She is beautiful! I'll just quietly lust after the rest of the cast...particularly Clive Owen, okay?

Yeah, I have the same trouble. No one to go with, well except for my best friend but she's in NY and I'm in Missouri. Maybe I can drag one of the others with me.

Lusting after Owen is always okay.
