Only got to play about 15 minutes before work. So far like what I see.

I'm d/ling it now but there are about a billion leechers. If it wasn't for some guy in Sweden giving me nearly a meg, I'd give up.
 
I completed it on Friday. Well, I say completed, killed the final boss but I only have 80% completion, missed a few side bits on the way through. It looks fantastic and is a lot of fun. My only concern is that it's a bit easy.
 
i'm waiting for the demo on the marketplace.
- i like to play the demo before going out an buying it.

plus, another game that i'm interested in is, MLB2k13.

I agree. I think I'm probably about two hours or so from the end. I think my gameplay is about 60 percent but I've left out a lot of the side stuff. Story sucked me in and I just wanna see what's next.

Weird. I never liked the other tomb raider games.

It looks absolutely stunning and the controls couldn't be more perfect. Camera angles are great too. I'm pretty sure the older games had crappy camera angles and goofy controls. I like the the New design of Lara as well. More human and less of a walking set of boobs.

many a frustrating hour spent watching/trying to get her to jump places only to have her splat into rock walls and stuff :rolleyes:

i was thinking about picking one up for the boys at easter

The reviews say this one is kind of a clone of the uncharted games (never played em) but the uncharted games were basically tomb raider with a male lead from my understaning. Dunno the ages of your boys, but this one is M rated and can get gory at times. Also foul language and shit

oh, they're 20 and 16goingon30, so that's not really an issue. they're quite able to view this stuff in a detached way and are more impressed by the picture quality than anything :rolleyes:

actually, i'll phone the eldest (31) and see if he's got it and what he thinks of it.

It shouldn't be that weird considering that every indication pre-release was that this wasn't just another Tomb Raider.

What better way to celebrate fertility and the Resurrection than by watching how just another rich girl became the Lara Croft?
 
I've loved Tomb Raider from launch, that was one of the titles I grew up on. I haven't got this one yet, I was wondering how everyone was gonna react and it's been overwhelmingly positive. I'm not a huge fan of the redesign myself, but not because of any artistic standpoint, just about everything that went down with Ami and the design team and stupid video game politics. But I never had a problem with the old polygonal gameplay except for the occasional diagonal jump gone ary.
