Okay nobody get his or her undies in a bunch! This is what it has always been a talk about poetry. I may well praise your art of kick it around the floor. But be sure to understand that it is an opinion and not gospel. That it is about the poetry. You may take it or leave it. There are only a few rules I would like to impose to this thread.
Those who critique must notify the poets whose work you are talking about in fact it would not hurt to read a few of his or her poems before you offer your opinion on a single poem. You do not have to say anything nice, but you do have to be constructive in your critique.
You must offer suggestions that you feel will improve the poets writing. I know that is a lot to ask, but when the shit starts to fly these civilized restrictions will be your Teflon shield.
As for the poets if you do not want your poem discussed in the future simply add a post to the thread stating that. If you do that, all further submissions by you will be ignored. Which may well be a favor for all concerned.
Again If you comment to a poet you must send a PM notifying the poet so they may asked not be critiqued in future. And now on to the New, New Poems List. “The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly.” I can just hear that whistle now. A bit of sand has blown in my eye (the one without the patch) I'm feeling ornery I need something good to read, or something bad. Oh yah, and I got a itchy trigger finger.
