John Brewer was the owner of a small corner store that was a convenient place for many of the local residents to pick up a few things on the way home from work or school - milk, bread, paper goods . . . and if you were of age, behind the counter he kept cigarettes, girlie magazines, and an assortment of other adult products (condoms, lubricants, etc.)
Despite the slow economy, business was good . . . especially from behind the counter items. Feeling he could afford the expense, Brewer ahd placed a sign in his window that he was looking to hire a "Part Time Helper", mostly evenings and weekends.
Today was the first day the sign was up and several individuals had requested an application and he was pleased at the number of inquiries. In a couple of days, he will look them over and start interviewing potential employees.
