Bill Anderson was finally living the life he had always thought he would. He had his dream job, being a history teacher at Hampton High School. Not only did he teach at the school, but he also coached the varsity boys basketball team there as well. He was married to his college sweetheart, Jessica. They both of them lived in the perfect neighborhood, one in which they could envision raising a family in. Everything seemed to be going just as planned.
Bill and Jessica met in college, and hit it off right from the start. Jessica ran track for the school, while Bill played basketball. The two of them seemed like a perfect match, and the relationship quickly grew from a friendship to dating, to exclusive. When they both graduated college, Bill was offered a job at Hampton High School as a history teacher. Without hesitation, Bill asked Jessica to move out there with him, and they both bought an apartment, hoping to settle into what they thought would be a great life together. Jessica quickly found a job at a financial firm in town, and they both were starting to get settled in.
After five years at Hampton, Bill and Jessica got married, and bought a house. It was a huge step for each of them, but they knew in the end, it was the right move. They found a house in a fantastic family oriented neighborhood. They both believed this was the place they would begin to grow a family of their own. Jessica loved the neighborhood, she fit right in with all the wives there. Although the couple did not have kids yet, they were planning to soon, so it was a perfect match.
Suddenly, the husband of the family next door was offered a job out of state. Jessica was very close to the wife, and was heartbroken when they put their house for sale and left the neighborhood. Bill was certain the new neighbor would fit right in with everyone, as the entire neighborhood seemed to get along. However, Jessica, always the worrier, was nervous that the wrong element would move in.
Finally, after a lot of traffic in and out of the house, the realtor placed a "Sold" sign outside of the house. Jessica was nervous, not knowing who had bought the house, while Bill was relaxed. He didn't let things he couldn't control worry him, but Jessica was waiting for that fateful day when the moving trucks would arrive, to let her know who would be moving into the house next door.
