Does true love exist or is love more like a deep fondness that grows and evolves as time passes?

Both.

Love is like a child, it's born, it grows and matures, getting stronger with age. Love is never the same, it's not static, it's mutable and grows deeper and stronger with every passing moment.

Have to agree with Stormystarr. KillerMuffin, you have the most amazing way with words. I thought about this question for the last 30 minutes & couldn't come up with a good response. Thanks.

If, by true love existing, you mean that one person that upon meeting simply knocks you out've your socks and makes you find it hard to breathe. Then I'd have to say that it quite possibly does for some folks. Faith Hill swears that it does.

As for fondness growing into love,,, I suspect that that love is more typicial. And the depth of this love is dependant on how honest the couple is with themselves and each other. With out the honesty there is something less than love happening.

I may not have said this very clearly,,, chaulk it up to me being a guy,,, everyone knows that we are complete idiots regarding the love/honesty issue.

I think that true love is when your partners happiness is more important to you than your own.
