A couple weeks ago I posted a thread asking for advice about losing weight. I also mentioned that I was finally going to meet my cyber guy, and promised that I'd let you all know how it went...

Well...
I met him last Friday night, and we spent a beautiful weekend together. It honestly couldn't have been any better.
It was simply the best time, best company, and best sex that I have ever had, and I can't wait to see him again in a couple months or so.

And, Thank You to all who answered! I realize now that you all were right. He didn't care at all about my little tummy... he actually cared much more about me than my couple extra inches :)

Good for you!!!

I felt the same way upon meeting my friend from Toronto. I figured the extra weight would turn him off, but it seemed to have the opposite effect.

I think most people would find that to be a true statement. I know that some men want this "ideal" woman, but when it comes down to it, they much prefer someone "real".

Congrats! Sounds like another meeting that was successful.

In a lot of cases that I personally know of, cyber partners, people who meet on the net who do actually take the time to get to know one another and do meet are happy with what they see. It is more of getting to know the person inside than the out. I know with my now fiance' , i was a little worried that I would be too big for her myself. But everything just seemed to click.

Glad you had a wonderful weekend and that all of your thoughts and whatnot turned out to just be nothing more than anxiety to speak. :)

As someone who is still considering meeting her cyberpartner, but hasn't yet, you don't know how much I just enjoyed reading your post! Thanks for letting us know it went well. (I also have those extra pounds to worry about- but now he's seen pictures of me, and told me I was nuts to have worried. He isn't running for the hills. :D )

As a guy who has been in that situation before, we're just as worried. But like the saying goes "More cushion for the pushin"

I am glad that you weekend went so well for you. It is good that you found someone who really cares for you. You took an amazing chance by meeting someone over the internet and it worked out for you. You now know that this person is REAL and cares about you as a person not what body type you are so I am very happy for you. I hope it all works out for you.

Well, Cheyenne, you're welcome for letting you guys know how it went! About your situation, though, I think if you really trust your cyber partner, then you should meet him. I think that it is probably safer to meet someone that you've known for months online than meeting some random guy at a bar, anyway. I hope all goes well, whatever you decide to do... let us know ;)

Treat... Congratulations! I'm glad it worked out for you!

Sammyjo--> question! Do you still talk with him? How is it?

To Skitten, I'm hoping it works out, too... however it may work out.

And geez Tazz, I'm not THAT big! Just a little tummy... the rest of me is fine!

Love ya guys!

Sorry, I wasn't implying anything or trying to offend. Just trying to lighten your spirits and make you smile.

It is what I would have..........

.........expected......and I am happy that your weekend was wonderful for both of you. The cyberworld allows people to determine whether or not we like (and sometimes love) someone without being distracted by the physical packaging. We finally get to know people based upon their inner self. (Of course there is the danger than someone might be roleplaying online and hence nothing may be real.) But when one's online partner presents as they really are, and an attraction exists, the physical packaging becomes relatively unimportant. Good luck Sexy. As time goes on, your physical packaging will necessarily change; but the inner you will not....and that is what important for a long term relationship.

Good for you Ms. Redhed. It is one of those rare meetings that works out. If only I was so lucky when I fell for a girl on the net just recently and got burned.

Cherish this moment Redhed. It may never come again.
