Now that fear itself has become a pandemic, we'll never
be rid of government's benevolent concern and care.
That used to be the only thing that we had to fear.
We were a lot stronger as a nation/people then though.
This was one of my concerns from the very beginning,
we were panicked and then tried to trade liberty for security.
We've ended up with neither; predictable and ageless.
I would have required proof that government had solved the ills
of the flu and cold before we entrusted them with
"Panic-demic" but who listens to me?
I'm Conservative, i.e., stupid.
If I were Liberal and smart,
I'd be lined up for the 99th inoculation
against the 102nd variant. Soviet-style lines...
