If you compare todays news with news of a century ago not much has changed. A ship sinks off Libya this week, a ship sunk off Labrador in April 1912. Cops were shooting blacks across America. The government was rounding up anarchists and terrorists. Major corporations were crushing mom and pop stores. Government was owned and corrupted by the 1 percenters. And folks generally fucked everyone but their spouses.
