I consider myself smart and creative (not to sound egocentric or anything) -- and I think that creativity for sure has a lot to do with it -- intellectualism is what it is -- I don't think it has to be the stereotypical picturization that matters -- I think most folks who post (okay yeah there are exceptions of course) and who write here are gonna be in this vein -- after all, we all rock right? Intellectual connotes a certain type of learning to me. Recollecting all the kinky people I've known a fair amount of them have been "thinkers" but I've also known quite a few who were rather dim bulbs intellectually but still into the outer reaches of kink.

I think a fair number of people are kinky out of pure hedonism which doesn't require much thought. I've had some interesting sexual encounters with such people, but generally I'm not interested in having coffee with them later. There's nothing to talk about.
