Houston, we have liftoff!

The Monthly Poetry Challenge is a communal work in progress, so please don't be shy with your suggestions, input and feedback.

Volunteer Guidelines
If you volunteer to facilitate a Monthly Challenge you will be responsible for:
-creating the challenge
-posting it on the 1st of the month you've volunteered for
-encouraging poets and soliciting feedback and critiques
-posting on the 14th of the month and last day of the month to acknowledge deadlines
-providing challenge-oriented snacks.

*In other words, you are the host for the month, so be gracious.

Format
In the Title of your challenge please put: The Monthly Poetry Challenge, [month] [year]. For example, the first Monthly Challenge title will read, The Monthly Poetry Challenge, August 2006.

Maybe that's what the poet volunteers should be called...hosts? (Don't gve me any grief, but I have lost small increments of sleep over what to call those poets who volunteer. )

And it's good to be back. I really appreciate the thoughts and warm wishes. I'm recovering quite speedily.

And my furious fingers are finsihing my own reviews for The Monthly Poetry Challenge as we speak! : ) If I could find someone around here to give me some lashes to get back to work instead of for their own sadistic pleasure I'd take them up on it!

And thanks for covering a Friday Review for me...I did withdraw fully from doing reviews, so I hope it gets filled.
