The Memory Palace

I am toying with the idea of a series involving a 'Memory Palace'.

Perhaps nothing so grand as a palace, but a place with rooms, furniture and ornaments that is all inside the main character's head. Each room stores facets of his memory and is associated with a particular sexual episode in his life. I'm saying 'his', but it could equally be a female as the main character.

Perhaps it could feature the obvious such as a dungeon or cellar where a BDSM episode 'lives' and subsequent rooms on a journey through the place could be used as a trigger in the character's memory for further adventures. I would like to use a garden for an episode featuring a witchy type female for example.

Any suggestions as to 'rooms'?

Sounds like an excellent idea, Geronimo. Some suggestions for rooms would be ones from different eras such as the Victorian Era. Or a child like room for an ageplayer fantasy. The possibilities are endless.

intriguing concept. you could do some very interesting setting-specific things here, as well: the BDSM room for example could easily be victorian in decor (or is that too cute?).

Victorian could easily represent light BDSM...But for anything heavier I'd ask for something more dungeon or basement like. I'd like to stress the age play since that sort of thing can drive me nuts when done right...The possibilities are endless and it could easily become a series if you have the time for it.

once again, thanks for the input. the idea is growing. i have friends in r/l giving suggestions too. perhaps this is beyond my meagretalents, but it'd be fun to give it a go. of course it's an ambition to push out a novel one day, well, more a dream but...
the time aspect isn't much of an issue for me, i lose the enthusiasm! LOL
