So the outcome of the election SHOULD be determined sometime before the end of the week. If Biden wins and Trump supporters accept the outcome, do you have any respect for them; or do you continue to hold them in disdain for ever having supported him in the first place???

Personally, I have ghosted every known Trump supporter among my family and friends, and actually find it amusing when they repeatedly try to establish contact, while feigning ignorance about why I would cut them out of my life while still associating with the decent members of my extended family who are as disgusted by Trump and his cronies as I am. I am so disappointed by those people who I grew up with who always preached how important character was and then abandoned their principles as casually as someone would abandon a broken down junker.

I will never forgive and I will never forget.

They will carry the mark of Trump forever.

No big change for me, because nobody I regularly like to hang out with was stupid or hateful enough to become a Trump supporter. I tend to avoid assholes in the first place.

I do have a few relatives who support Trump, but I have no choice over that. They know enough not to bring up their politics with me if they want to continue seeing me.

Can't really find anything I disagree with, although I'm a proponent of limiting magazine size for semi-automatic weapons, and closing the loopholes for certain gun sales.

As far as giving those who supported Trump a pass for being conned by a snake-oil salesman. Nah. There were plenty of known disqualifying factors, and yet they still supported him. The new "good Germans" should live in shame for their role in Trump's soiling of the constitution and the presidency.

I’m pretty much with you on this, including your list. I’d amend your first item to include the entire constitution though. I also am one of those who does see the second amendment as not being exclusive of reasonable limits and restrictions, just like the first amendment.

As for trump supporters, for me it’s not so much whether the voted for trump or not. My relationship would depend a lot more on the how and the why factors. Those who are part of white nationalist hate groups, for instance, have no place in my life...but not particularly because of their allegiance to trump. Trump supporters who embrace a hatred to all liberal Americans similarly have no place in my life, but it’s their hatred and bigotry, not their figurehead that concerns me most. The Republicans in the senate who have failed to do their constitutional duty (Mitch McConnell in particular!), can and should be held 100% accountable for the train wreck they’ve allowed and enabled.

Misguided, or brainwashed trump voters have my sympathy too. I think I can actually understand how and why so many of them were swept up into the cult. I am disappointed that many of them should be able to see through the facade, but I hold no personal animosity towards them. Many of them still think that somehow they will make more money and pay less taxes with trump. People have been getting suckered by politicians in this country since day one, so I can shrug that one off. FWIW, I have pretty much the same range of sentiments for people on all other locations on the political spectrum.

I don't associate with Trumpers, never cared for them. The ones that I've interacted with are weird, paranoid, annoying, and plain ignorant. They are not normal and they latch on to that evilness of Dump because they are so insecure of their own selves, and have a vindictive streak. They love to gaslight as well, and aren't about Law and Order, always having a purity test for Democrats, but ignoring the vile, lawless behavior coming from their own party.
