After WW2, Ukraine was artificially enlarged by Stalin, through the addition of Llov (Poland) Bukovina (Romania), Ruthenia (Czechoslovakia), Zakarpattia (Hungary) and Crimea (Russia).
So Ukraine was artificially inflated by Russia, as a buffer against the West.
Following the breakup of the USSR, the Occident has been using Ukraine as a proxy against Moscow.

Once again you are perpetuating Russian propaganda you have internalized.
Yes, by historical oddity that exact moment Crimea was Russia while Ukraine existed as administrative entity not including it. But if you question does Crimea belong in Ukraine, you can't escape the same question about Russia either. Because at no point in history Russia owned Crimea while not owning all or significant parts of the rest of Ukraine. Actually, for example Kharkiv had been part of Russian empire earlier and longer.
and Lithuania isn't doing propaganda? You guys are willing to sacrifice, if it comes to it, even a million of Ukrainian lives, to ensure you escape Russia's imperialism.

None of us knew, before researching on our own, that a chunk of Ukraine was made of neighbouring territories illegally acquired through force.
And that Crimea was gifted, is majority Russian, who voted through referendum to join Russia

--not surrounded Russia with NATO bases & armed Ukraine
--not organised the 2014 coup to hijack the spontaneous Ukrainian anti-govt/Russia revolt
--not pushed for war for Crimea instead of negotiations,
maybe Russia would have contended itself just with Georgia, Donbas and Crimea.
Just look at Ukraine now: 1/5th of it's people in exile, a failed state, parts of which will become Polish/American/Russian colonies.
