If you're black in the US, clearly you can say nigger, but to any other segment of the population it is hate speech. Watching our leadership in DC, it is clearly becoming apparent that, in similar fashion, the violent aspects of culture that call themselves Muslims are free do do so, while increasingly we are not free to do so...

;)

... it seems that it is the same subset of people who get offended in both cases, ironically, in both cases, that learned and tony crowd is neither, in the former case, white or Islamic in the latter case.

Maybe we will have to resort to euphemism and call them the Thirteenists...

The pope says its not nice to offend people with words.

Where and how does the term "dirt-worshiper" fit in?

I don't know, but I see that the Pope is decrying hate speech against religion, by using a metaphor for violence, the Left is marching in Paris for free speech and a lot of worldwide Islam is now offended by yet another cartoon out of France, even as Europe is in a crackdown on cells...

Talk about Leftist schizophrenia...

... we blamed Benghazi on a Ut00b trailer!!!

I am waiting to hear "opportunity and religiously challenged" come from that whiny bitch Josh Earnest

Poor AJ wants to "nigger" people so badly without fear of retribution.

Their culture robs them of their opportunity and rather than give up their beloved way of life, they would rather takes ours away from us and they are succeeding and you see the tenuous contradiction of thought: We believe in free speech, even if offensive, but we equally believe that they have the right not to be offended, so we will censure the speech that they do not approve of.

We blamed the movie...

Obama did not go to France.

Hillary is keeping very quiet.

No one wants to say MULSIM!

Last week, Islamist gunmen killed 12 people at Charlie Hebdo’s offices.
The cover of the magazine’s latest edition, published after the attack, featured a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad weeping while holding a sign saying “I am Charlie”.

Seven million copies of the edition are being printed in view of extraordinary demand, distributors announced on Saturday. The magazine’s print run before the attack was 60,000.

Many Muslims see any depiction of Islam’s prophet as offensive.

In Niger, a former French colony, hundreds of demonstrators gathered at Niamey’s grand mosque, shouting “God is Great” in Arabic.

At least six churches were set on fire or looted in Niamey and regional towns. Bars, hotels and businesses under non-Muslim ownership were also targeted.

Two charred bodies were recovered from a church on the outskirts of Niamey, and the body of a woman was found in a bar, Reuters reported.

Time to put the cartoonists in jail for inciting MUSLIMS to violence?

At a rally in Somalia, Islamists held signs that read, “I am Muslim and I love my prophet.”

In Yemen, many gathered on Saturday in front of France’s Embassy in Sanaa.

In Sudan, demonstrators held signs that read, “Death for French” and “Charlie Hebdo offends the Prophet.”

The Algerian capital of Algiers saw thousands come out to protest Charlie Hebdo’s new Muhammad cartoons. Rioters reportedly threw bottles and rocks at police while chanting, “We are Muhammad.”

In Amman, Jordan, a 2,500-strong mob that was heading for the French Embassy had to be subdued by riot police. Some were seen holding signs that read, “Insulting the prophet is global terrorism.”

In Pakistan, the radical Islamist party Jamaat-e-Islami hosted several pro-Sharia, anti-free speech rallies. In one demonstration, an AFP journalist was shot in the chest. Another three were reportedly injured in the rallies, which took place in the cities of Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

Demonstrations also took place in the former French colonies of Mali, Senegal, and Mauritania. In Senegal, about a thousand demonstrators marched through the streets chanting “Allahu Akbar,” while others burned French flags. Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz stood with demonstrators, saying that the cartoon was “an attack on our religion and all religions.”

New York Times editorializes, WE ARE CERTAINLY NOT CHARLIE!

At The Times, which republished some Charlie Hebdo cartoons in its coverage of the attack, but not the ones that mocked Islam, an editorial decision was made in its online coverage to provide a link for viewers to click should they wish to see the new Muhammad cover. But the image will not be published in the print edition.

“Actually we have republished some of the Charlie Hebdo cartoons including a caricature of the head of ISIS as well as some political cartoons,” Dean Baquet, executive editor of The Times, said in a statement. “We do not normally publish images or other material deliberately intended to offend religious sensibilities. Many Muslims consider publishing images of their prophet innately offensive and we have refrained from doing so.”
