The Lowdown on my Story

Alright, here's the lowdown. The main character (whatever you enter as your name) is a heterosexual highschool male, eighteen years old, of course, who has the ability to produce and release human sex peheromones in variable quantities. The story sets out with him arriving at highschool in the morning after explaining the details of his powers. This story is set in the Marvel Comics universe, so multiple cameos from various Marvel characters are more then welcome. The majority of which will probably be X-Men characters, as the character is a mutant (a concept which is also explained in the introduction for the uninitiated). However, and let me make this perfectly clear, no one is obligated to include the X-men in their threads. Now, I'm not saying I don't want people to, Hell, it makes my day when someone does a good job with it, but if the X-Men aren't your thing, or you know absolutely nothing about them, that doesn't matter in the slightest. Write a thread about the main character starting a gangbang with his attractive-yet-prudish math teacher and his all-male math class. Write a thread about him going to the pep assembly and initiating a school-wide orgy. Hell, the posssiblities are limitless. I'd write some of these myself, but I'm fairly new at this and am rather uncomfortable with my erotica-writing skills (read=I think I'm awful). Please, I would love it if as many people as possible contributed to this story. Don't say, "Oh, it's just fan-fiction" and write it off. Give it a chance, give it a read, and then, if you're a really nice person, add a thread.

Sounds cool HP. What also helps is if you give us a bit of an idea about the story so far. Things like deepest thread and more importantly how many. The width of options is mainly what i look for when choosing other stories to read and add to. Give us an idea on some of the branches and characters actions to date. The story to date.

A quick recap on the story so far: seven threads at its deepest. Thirteen pages total, twenty-six threads total (according to the info pages, anyway, I'm not sure how twenty-six threads can be contained in thirteen pages). In one branch, our protagonist gets into a cheerleader orgy in the girls locker room, which is crashed by the as of then unnamed Jean Grey of the X-Men (good guys). In the next thread, Mystique the shapeshifter from the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (bad guys) "saves" our protagonist from Jean Grey and takes him to the Savage Land (a tropical paradise hidden in Antarctica where dinosaurs still live), which is a safe haven for mutants who have chosen to live in exile from the rest of the world who hates and fears them. Here he is brought before Magneto, the leader of the Brotherhood who believes that war between mankind and mutants in inevitable. The last thread ends with Magneto's arrival, so the meeting has yet to be written. This particular story branch is only three threads deep.

In the other story branch, our hero is called to the principal's office to meet Jean Grey, who is there to recruit our hero into the X-Men (under the guise of a recruiter for Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters). At the first branching point, one thread allows the character to turn down her offer and soon he encounters Mystique. The other thread allows the hero to have a emotional breakthrough and then engage in sexual congress with Jean Grey. After this, the story branches again, allowing the character to either have repeated sexual episodes with Jean Grey, the last of which ends with you pulling into your parents driveway to convince them to let you move to Xavier's private New York Academy. The other branch has you go straight to Xavier's X-Mansion, where you can either go to the VR Training room and hook up with Psylocke, an attractive psychic asian ninja; or allows you to explore the mansion, encountering Kitty Pryde (who can "phase" allowing her to move through solid matter), who invites you to either go off somewhere private with her, or join her and her roommates for an orgy that night, which is begun in the seventh and deepest thread.

Each thread can have up to four branching points, and the most any thread has so far is two. From the first page there are still two options available, neither of which has to (or probably should) involve the X-men (at this point in time). I think it would be nice to have half this story involve X-Men heroes and villains where the other half just involves the protagonist using his powers to have sex with as many people as possible (although this does not have to be the case, they are just suggestions). My current suggestions for the two threads remaining on the first page are a gangbang with the prudish math teacher, or an orgy at the school pep assembly, however these are merely suggestions.

New threads to start from?

I'm wondering whether things are a little slow because there are only so many authors familiar with the X-Men characters and settings.

I'd personally find it a little easier to contribute if there were some more directions (thread choices) close to the beginning that didn't immediately lead to close encounters with established characters I don't know.

You've been very clear in pointing out that storylines don't have to include the Marvel characters, but maybe a couple of short "tease" threads suggesting some people and situations the protagonist knows in high school would help, and fleshing out his character a bit. You've put some of that into the intro thread already.

Another thought: Have you tried contributing threads to stories that your contributors are editing? You have a pretty good author list already, and maybe you could encourage them personally?

Just my thoughts ... maybe someone else has better ideas about stirring up interest. (Ooohkitty has been notably successful lately).

I'll see if anything occurs to me on the "fun in high school". (That "amnesia and birth control" part of the power makes it almost TOO easy...).

I was just reading through Mutant High after the request for threads and an idea kinda formed in my mind for something to write. What i wanted to know as i havent seen much of the X-men was if the blue skinned shapeshifter was Mystique? Have i even got the spelling right? If i know for sure i maybe be able to come up with something.

The Brotherhood of [Evil] Mutants

The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, usually referred to as the Brotherhood of Mutants by its members and in recruitment speeches, is led by Magneto, the Mutant Master of Magnetism. Magneto, also known as Erik Lensherr. The Brotherhood of Mutants is based out of the Savage Land; a tropical jungle hidden away in the antarctic, a primeval Lost World where dinosuars still roam. It is a sanctuary for mutants wishing to withdraw from the prejudices of the modern world and live in a utopia. Most of the mutants in the savage land are unaware of any of Magneto's agendas, as these are carried out by his lietenants in the Brotherhood.
Erik believes that Homo Superior will inherit the earth and that Homo Sapiens is to cruel and violent to continue the rule of the planet, so the Brotherhood should help evolution along.

X-Men Universe

I'm not overly concerned with maintaining "continuity" as it exists in the comics. The X-Men Universe I'm throwing together is an ammalgamation of the regular X-Men Comics, both cartoon series, the movie, and most heavily by Ultimate X-Men, a modern, "edgy" rehashing of the francise. The simplest way to have an inkling into the X-Men is rent the movie. After that, I have a couple of links.
