My mother does the very same thing. She bitches that I need to move out cause we're broke, then spends half a fucking hour at the gas station counter scratching off those fucking tickets.

Stupid fucking bitch.

But you didn't hear it from me.

I'm intolerent that way...

If I'm stuck behind someone who is taking too long to transact their business, be it buying loadsa lottery tickets or paying their newspaper bill in pennies, I usually reach across their shoulder and order my ciggies, usually with the right change, or close to it, in my hand.

Most shopkeepers are co-operative that way...after all they don't want a queue building up as much as you don't want to be in one...

Only really works if you're second in line though...

i work in a convenience store, and trust me the customers are not the only ones who get annoyed at the lotto players..i do too. they take up too much time. the point of a convenience store is that you go in and out, quickly, which is supposed to be convenient, see how that works? yeah and half of the people really can't afford to spend what they do on those damn tickets..it's sad and sickening what they do to themselves and their families.

What's really sad is that the government is promoting the lottery, the same government that bans other forms of gambling as being destructive. Hypocrisy runs rampant among our leaders.
