"I knew it was all a fake," He watched her walk away, the hurt look on her face. How could he have trusted her? Let her in. She seemed so sincere, but she kept insisting on keeping David around. David would be trouble, he was a gear in Lotus' great plan.
Of course, so was the princess. But, she was proving to be more of an asset than a problem. Still, they would have to see, wouldn't they?
He finished his meal, eating in silence. Preparing himself for tomorrow's execution.
Her two guards followed right when she had left the dining room. They were on her heel, on both sides. They didn' speak now, looking mostly bored with themselves. A duty they did not want have, yet here they were.
The other men to replace them wouldn't be here for another few hours, so they just had to endure it.
It wasn't until the princess showed her clover, identifying her that they ushered the confused knight away, keeping her silent.
"Take him to the dungeon! He is a spy, he tried to kill the princess!!!"
Guards came, dark and sinister like the ones guarding her, grabbing the knight. He was strong, brave, but even he could not defeat all of them. With a bloody sword, he looked back at her.
A clover... she was the princess. How could it be? He thought the princess was lost, that she would never return.
"Princess?" He yelled in frustration, as he was bound, chained, and hauled away. The two guards returned to their position at her side.
"Do not worry, we will protect you," One said.
The other one whispered under his breath, "Even from yourself..."
Small snickering.
