My best drama speech shall be delayed until the following week due to having a life in between (fancy pants meal, theatre, comedy and wine tasting in an historic East Midlands market town since you asked) not that I assume I shall win, but a lovely friend pointed out I didn’t need to win in order to give a speech... and I realised a not winning speech could be even more fun... well damn, Allia, That is a very thought out acceptance speech. I was just going to go with "it is an honor being nominated", parade waive, Vaseline on teeth, and something about World Peace. (That is the traditional American chick popular vote speech used by beauty queens and prom queens across our country). OK fine, maybe I'd play something like We are the Champions with a set of bell clamps. Though I might miss most of it as well. Not because I have a life or anything (I'm jealous of your fancy pants) but more likely at 8pm on a weeknight, I shall be putting a little human to bed followed by small talk with my husband, unless he ignores me, but I will be in and out on my phone, while wearing my typical evening uniform of the oh so stylish shirt of the day and no pants, because half the reason I stay home is I don't want to wear pants. I might go places more if pants were optional. oh, and bras.
