I know NOT ONE person I'm friends with would be ok with what started this whole mess. Not one. And every time she comes back, she claims people are silent. Yet, everytime I see different people speak up and agree with her. My issue is not how she treats the people she dislikes, it's how she treats and labels everyone else.

It's a silly awards show that most everyone has fun participating in. If you wish that more people you like were nominated... you should have nominated them. If you hope that someone you dislike doesn't "win", vote for someone else. If you're upset that you weren't nominated, maybe you should have been around more. I'm the queen of taking things here too seriously, but this is all a little much even for me.

I have never seen anyone argue that she's wrong - they may disagree with her approach and tone, but not with her fundamental point. I think the majority of the PG regulars didn't even know about the particular incident that keeps being referenced until things had already been reported/deleted/dealt with as the mods saw fit. And I haven't seen anyone endorsing pedophilia or supporting its discussion in the PG threads.

Allia paints the entire PG as being complicit in being okay with pedophilia That is not true and I'm honestly at a loss as to what she thinks we, as a group, should be doing to not be, in her opinion, complicit.

I agree, it's not a link, it's a crime (or at the very least, it's both). It's a big issue and any tolerance of it leads to issues none of us want. The Catholic Church played it off for centuries and we still have priests claiming abortion is a much bigger crime than sexual child abuse but I digress.
The goal should be to persuade people to your side with facts and reasoned argument, not losing your temper and control to make their points seem reasonable. Stay calm and defend your position. You aren't wrong but your point gets lost in tantrums. I think you are smarter than that.
As far as the nominations, you were free to cast your votes there. I personally think Tali got slighted and I'm going to remember that for next year. As far as some of your other moms, well, I nominated missswannie and her creative musings thread because it spoke to me and I love her personality. To each their own, right? We all have our favorite and it's up to us to make sure they are included.
Lumping Clowns and Suz in with the crew you are fueding with is simply wrong. They are doing this for entertainment. They are volunteering time for the board's entertainment. If you have an issue with a category or a nomination, that's on you. There were threads that were up for a long time and regularly bumped for both. It is a big job, a mostly thankless job and I appreciate them doing it even though I'll likely get about 10% of the jokes.
