The Literal Best

Before a reader can be drawn in by that awesome opening paragraph or page as discussed in another thread they first have to click on the story. One way to do that is to get their attention with the story title. Personally I like word play and puns so I'm partial to using when it makes sense to do so like in Kristina Plugged by Tire Repairman (guilty as charged) or another gem of mine I Check Out The Checkout Girl. I even managed to do in what is a tragedy titled Always Darkest For Dawn which is an obvious word play but also accurate for the mood of story. Whatever gets eyeballs on the story at which time some readers will like and proceed to search out more stories by writer and maybe follow.

Mom's Submarine Anal Birthday Surprise (by DurtGurl) always nicely rolled off the tongue.

I use humor and bad puns in my stories, but not in the titles.

The closest I have would be this play on words "Mercedes Bends"

My best attempt at a title pun was for a story I wrote about a religious couple that pokes fun at cuckolding called "Have Faith".
