An official in the American intelligence community was so bothered by a "promise" Trump had made while communicating with a foreign leader that the official filed a formal whistleblower complaint with the inspector general of the intelligence community, according to two former US officials familiar with the matter.
In a closed-door briefing Thursday, the intelligence inspector general suggested that the whistleblower had concerns about multiple actions, sources familiar with the briefing told CNN. The watchdog did not say specifically all the acts of concern involved the President, the sources indicated, with one saying the IG referenced "a sequence of events" and "alleged actions" that took place.
By law, such reports are to be delivered to Congress, both the House and Senate. However, rather than follow the legal process to determine if any criminal activity had taken place, the acting Director of National Intelligence instead shunted the report to the Department of Justice who is also refusing to disclose to Congress the substance of the report which the inspector general has deemed "credible and urgent".
Now comes word that the con artist has been involved in quashing the report and preventing it from ever seeing the light of day. Further, the DOJ has deemed the report not subject to the agency's whistleblower policy which means the person who was doing their job and reporting instances of possible actions against this country or a person working to undermine the nation's security, could be fired.
But, there is a caveat. If this person is fired, they could always reveal to the nation what alarming information they discovered and which the con artist and his stooges are covering up. This person may go to jail, but the outcry of someone revealing how the con artist is attempting to undermine the security of this country will sway public opinion. Not to mention revealing even more criminal activity by the con artist.
At this point Adam Schiff has threatened to file a lawsuit, expedited, to force the criminal con artist to abide by the law and turn over to Congress that which it is legally required to see. Further, Schiff has said there is the possibility of considering zeroing out the National Intelligence agency's budget until they comply.
One has to wonder what the con artist promised to Putin that he is so desperate it not be revealed. Lifting of sanctions in exchange for another of his failed properties to be in Moscow perhaps?
