Man! What the fuck can I say? This fuckin' sucks.

Went out, after gettin' the Shebabe home - afraid of the dust cloud catchin' her in Midtown. Had to yell at her to leave work.

Went to a bar to have a beer a "watch" the news and the people. The people? The exodus was huge - no transportation - I met a guy "walking" to the Bronx. Met a guy "walking" to Yonkers. Shit!

Met two guys, caterer's, who were in building one - the first to go down - they escaped - covered in soot/dust.

My friend Roger was on the trading floor when the first "boom" hit - the guys from the first bombing in '93 went to the windows - the second boom hit and even with the floor not officially closed - everyone orderly left the building. Roger was only a block away when the first tower collapsed. He ran and walked all the way home to the Upper East Side. He was at our wedding.

About one in ten folks I saw on the street were crying.

A lot of very good, normal, working folks died today - fuck me.

This in my mind is much worse than Perarl Harbor - they hit none military targets, civilians - and they hit right on our sacred soil.

They all must die. Fuck'um.

But it was brilliant - hijack fuel ladden plains headed for the West Coast - bullshit the crew - right before finale approach on target - shoot the pilots and fly it yourself. Hit the building mid-way - the learned you can't hit them low in '93 - let the fire weeken the structure and collapse upon itself.

Simple carnage - fuckin' brilliant.

But - all of them must fucking die now.

That is all.

I posted this in another thread but here it is again. My best friend saw the whole thing from 12 floors up about 13 blocks away.

I'm in New York about 3 hours from NYC. I've heard from one friend I'm waiting to hear from another. Both worked within blocks of the WTC. The one I've heard from watched the whole thing go down right from the start. She watched first one plane and then the other crash. She seems ok right now but I bet she comes home to me if she can this weekend.

I'm really very glad that you are okay. I think to many of us it isn't as "real" as it is to you... walking through the debri and seeing the fear, horror, sadness and tears on the faces of people as you walk by.

lilfrk.. I am glad she's ok and imagine that she'll have many nightmares over this.

TN Vixen- I'm glad she is too. She sounded so calm when I talked to her on the phone but I know first chance she is going to crumble. She had a ways to walk and she was taking people from work home with her that couldn't get to their own homes. I'm Just waiting to hear that's she's home safe. And I still haven't heard from my other friend yet. God I'm just praying he's ok.

Sparky, I can't say anything.....

The feelings are mutual. This was a cowardly attack on innocent people, there can be no justification for it, only the justice of retaliation!
