Jaina Proudmore, leader of the survivors of Lorderon, gazed out of the window of her living quarters. Outside, it was raining heavilly, and the only movement was the guards partolling the walls, ever watchful for danger.

Sighing to herself, she stode over to a large, oaken table apon which sat a damaged letter. Opening it again, she read the contents for the seventh time.

To the leader of the survivors, from Denath

My appologies for not contacting you sooner, but the events of the Dark Portal have been strange ones. The reason I am contacting you is that a tome has been uncovered in Lorderon

This book looks to be of magica oragins, and thusly, I cannot use it. However, it may bring an end to the wars! Alas, I cannot bring it to you as I have no boat. Please, send someone to collect it soon!

Jaina bowed her head, trying to reach out and picture the location of this tome, bust something was blocking her.

A knock came at the door. "Yes? What is it?"

"Pardain mistress Proudmore, but scouts report that some men are comming to the castle. Possably the heroes you sent out the call for?"

"Let them in, but be on your guard. Something... is amiss.."

"Yes, mistress Proudmore"

ooc: And so it begins! Post your intros, and get to know each other! I'll be back on Monday!

Geldor Earthfire

Strolling along, Geldor looked around him. He was behinde the other heros.

It seemed to be queit, to much so, but no said a word about it - why should he be the first to say?

"I wish I had something better to do then walk around with these mortals." Geldor thought to himself. He thought himself above the others, he didn't like to in such company. But the Allience called for his aid once again.

So along Geldor walked, watching the fireballs fly above him in circals.

Lusendro trailed behind the group of heroes. Not because he felt he had to detach himself but a reason he himself couldnt come to terms with. He was getting old and with that his strength was fading. Usually he wouldnt have thought about such a walk but now in his thirty-ninth year he was having trouble hiding his fatigue. His body was soaked through with the rain and he pulled his worn travel cloak around himself. Entering through the large gates he sighed a sigh of relief and smiled

"At least he would get paid at the end of it"

OOC: Lusendro you got to ask to play on the casting call thread first.

Sheal'nis stood on the battlements, facing out ove the one road leading into the fort, the wind was cutting through her clothing. She had heard of a call that had gone out and had come.

To be honest to herself, she didn't know what to do anymore. After the destruction of the World Tree, and the loss of her aging immortality, she had felt lost just sitting around in the glades as she had done before the Scourge.

Something up ahead caught her eye. She could see travellers coming down the couseway, mostly humans. But there was an elf among them! And not just any elf, a Blood Elf mage!

She felt an anger rising in her. An anger borne of the betrayal of Illiadan in ages past. And how, apon his release, he used the hated magics of the Burning Leigon!

But no. Such feelings had to be put aside. Illidan and the Blood Elves may have faught against her sisters, but in the end, they, and the Naga, tried to stop the return of the Liche King on their own...

Entering through the large gates Lusendro breathed a deep sigh of relief here the wind was weakend by the massive walls. He looked around admiring the guards disipline and order. It took him back to hiw days as a soldier days he would sooner forget. Tearing his gaze from them he followed behind the heroes as they entered a large bulding to be briefed on there mission ahead.

Sheal'nis saw Lusendro walk through the gates and up towards the castle propper. Keeping quiet, she followed him for a distance along the battlements, not litting the himan out of her sight

eye of night

Lusendro ran a hand through his silver streaked black hair in a bid to remove the damp hair from his face. He could feel the eyes on him from all around, and they were right to stare what good would an old man be to this quest. He could hardly beleive it when he was called up himself. But there was one other reason besides the money he half hoped he would not return.

Geldor Earthfire

Geldor on the rear of the group was the last to pasas threw the gates. "These humans still can not make a good camp, pitifll."

He seemed out of place in this group and even the camp. As far as he knew he was the only magic user, and the only Elf. Geldor didn't know what was wanted of him, but his curosity was high.

Lusendro glanced behind him. He saw another man who had seperated himself from the groups. He radiated arrogance and Lusendro hoped he wouldnt have to work with this man too much but knew it would be inevitable. Something touched him then was it fear? He quickly shook the thought from his head and followed the small group of heroes.

Jaina Proudmore walked out onto the battlements of the castle, and looked out at the assembled group of adventurers. She sighed to herself - far too many had died battling the Orcs, then the Elves, then the the Burning Leigon.

"Attention, members of the alliance! I have put out the call to you all because there is a quest that could, apon compleation, result in us being able to reclaim our birthlands! I have word that the object you shall be searching for will be in the Plaguelands and, as such, I have assigned you groups according to your skills. Each team will search on their own accord! The groups are as follows..."

Jaina proceeded to read out the names of the various travellers around

"... And finally, Lusendro, Geldor and Sheal'nis! Assemble in the courtyard in three hours in your groups. The ships will be ready to depart"

She then gave the masses a short bow, and walked back inside the castle.

Sheal'nis eyes the group, her eyes easilly picking out Geldor. No human had a name like that and, as the only other elf in the congregation, she reasoned that he must be in her group. "Great. I gotta work with a 'Blood Elf' sorcerer"

He heard the names called and sighed what could he do for three hours?. Moving from the courtyard he located a tavern and smiled. There was always that entering he ordered the strongest spirit they had and settled down at the bar pulling of his worn green travel cloak, unclipping his crossbow and sheathed dual shortswords (ooc: are these weapond ok? if not tell me and i will change them) he took a sip and waited for the hours to pass.

((On an ooc note,I decided to play a goblin instead of orc or tauren))

"Hehehe" Beofurm said as he seemed to materalize out of the shadows, comming to stand with the rest of the the alliance. He was a wiry little goblin, reaching mybe 3 foot at the tallest,he walked with a sort of stealthy mannerism, large dark glassed resting up on his foreheard, his long dark black hair hanging back,he goblin had a dark green skin and a wide toothed grin that said:I am always willing to work for a price.

Beofurm wore singed and ripped leather pants with a sleeveless leather vest that had all sorts of pockets filled with all sorts of things.Wearing pouches on each side with a large pack with god knows what in it,the goblin grinned as if he were ready to cause mischief, but he had to be good, aiding the humans would be more trade for Ratchet, the goblin home land,he just had to put up with all of them.

Running dexterious little fingers through his long greasy black hair,he didnt listen to what they had said,he was more worried about whether or not his airship could remain whole with all these barbaric races running around. Not really evil yet willing to do anything to get buisness and to cause a little chaos, the goblin shifted nervously waiting for everyone to finish, the fingers on his left hand stroking a small smoke bomb lovingly, just incase.

Sheal'nis spotted the goblin walking prodly around the square, looking a bit too interested in the usage of his bomb. Gracefully she lept from the battlements and landed, walking over to Beofurm.

"I do sincerely hope you are not intending on using that incendry device, short one."

She stood, hands on her slender hips, looking down at Beofurm, which wasn't hard as most races in the land were smaller of stature than herself

Geldor Earthfire

"Now look at that, a Night Elf and a Goblin. I hope I do not have anything to do with them!" Geldor thought to himself.

Beofurm tilted his head up to look at the night elf,to see her looking at him.The goblin quickly moved his hands away, seemingly dissappearing. The Goblin put a wide tooth grin on and shook his head, long black hair swaying back and forth.

"Hehe,No boom?" The goblin said in return to the nightelf as his hands silently began to finger another, smaller bomb that exploded in a array of beautiful, blinding colors.Clicking a strap, the bomb fell down from behind him and rolled between his legs as the goblin hopped from where he stood, the grenade exploding in an array of blinding color.

His laugh almost a wicked giggle, the goblin smirked..he loved making mischief around those that looked down upon his race with eyes that were above stuck up noses.Smirking, the goblin slipped off,his small stature aiding in his ability to hide.Quickly making his way to the top of one of the far towers, the goblin made his way to his airship.

Sheal'nis staggared back, momentarily blinded by the explosion of light and colour. She didn't like most goblins due to their mercenary nature, but this one she definatly hated!

She heard the diminutive greenskin chuckle as he darted off through the startled crowd. Cursing to herself, she blinked to clear the spots from her eyes. Instinctivly she reached for her bow, pulling it round and notching an arrow, but holding it there, doubting if she could hit the small target at such a range.

Sighing to herself, she relaxed the bow and slid the arrow back into it's quiver and looking around at the startled faces. Once more she caught sight of the Blood Elf, feeling a momentary tug at her heart. Putting it down to the centuries of bad blood between their races, she turned and walked back to the battlements

Geldor Earthfire

As Geldor watched the goblin and the nightn elf, Geldor wondered why he was here witnessing such idiotic nature.

He turned and walked over to a corner, sighing in boredom,.

The remaining hours passed without incident. Many adventurers purchased extra equipment from the armoury and arcane vault. before the call went up that the ships had arrived and been made ready for the journey east. At once, the various groups left the main town square and headded to their respective ships.

Sheal'nis made her way to the ship that she, and her group were to use - The Noble. It looked like a small ship from the outside, but Sheal'nis had no experience of boats so knew not what to expect. Climbing on board she went down below decks after nodding to the captain of the vessel.

She was suprised that the vessel was so crampt! Finding the sleeping quarters, she found that there were two seperate areas - one belonging to the Captain, and the other belonging to the three adventurers! Just the thaught of sharing a room with that Blood Elf made her feel a little queesy... or was that the rocking of the boat?

Lusendo decided to head to his ship gathering up his equipment he half staggered outside. Leaning against the railings outside the bar and taking a deep breathe he looked around. He spotted his assigned ship and moved for it he felt quesy the spirit had hit him harder than he thought and thinking about the ride made him feel worse. He groaned out loud and walked on board and down into the sleeping quarters he dumped his cloak and weapons on his bed before he noticed the girl she must be Sheal'nis he smiled at her then lay back on his bed falling into a deep sleep.

Beofurm stoond on the railing of his airship, watching all the poor fools go to there boats, what sort of person uses a ship on the water,it is so dangerous....you could drown.Having checked the lists,he name wasnt with any of the groups that ment he was working rogue which ment he would be the first to get there and the first to get the book.

Scrambling across the rail,he quickly untied the ropes holding the ship down,he figured why waste money on roping by cutting the rope when he could just untie it,he didnt need to be off extra early when his airship moved double the rate the foolish human boats do.

Pulling his shades down, the goblin quickly fired up the engine, fires flaring and propellers spinning quickly, the airship quickly rising up up and up until he hovered gently over the main boats of the humans. Why didnt they just ask him to accompany him? well the human(lesandro?) might be able to get around, but the oathbreaking Illiadan serving swine and the all high and mighty night elf would have to really beg but he figured it would be worth it compared to being on a boat.

Pushing a lever foreward, fires flared and the Airship roared over head and headed off, flying over the boats and heading across the sea,the small goblin standing on the railing holding onto a rope and looking down at the boats below.

Shael'nis had seen the man called Lusendro enter their sleeping quarters and lie down, instantly falling asleep. Perhaps he had a good idea there, she wondered. Perhaps she should sleep too. Lusendro's company would probably be better than that Blood Elf - whose name she could not recall, nor wanted to.

Sitting on the endge of Lusendro's bed, she lightly ran her hand through his hair. Humans were still a mystery to her. She could see grey in his hair, something that no Dark Elf ever had. Even Stormrage, old as the continent of Kalimdor, had no grey in his hear or beard.

Shaking her head, she stood up and walked back out onto the deck, waiting for the Blood Elf to embark so they could be on their way

Geldor Earthfire

When he saw the Night Elf on the ship, the angered boild deep within. "Cursed Night Elf, a rather go alone then go with her!"

Geldor climbed onboard the small ship. He lookd for the cabin and walked in, he needed to put his belongings away - and gaured them with a spell.

With everyone on board, the captain and crew cut the ship loose and started the long voyage back across the great sea towards the once-proud lands of Lorderon, now renamed as the Plaguelands...

Shael'nis stood outside on the deck of the shop, looking back at Kalimdor and Theramore Isle as the dissappeared into the distance. A strange feeling came over her - perhaps within the next day they would pass close to the Mealstrom. It was there that the Night Elves and High Elves sepperated themselves and became two races...

She went below deck and toward the cabbin she was to share with the others. Geldor was there, securing his equipment. "We will be passing the Mealstrom soon. Watch, or ignore it. It's your choice" Turning before Geldor could reply, she walked back out onto deck, feeling the tension that had built up ease away in the cool sea air
