Congratulations, to the Laker's and Fans!

Renegade and other Laker's fans,

It's not about hating the Laker's. We just adore our Sixer's. Please don't take it personally. If we had played the Blazer's or any other team, we would still have had the same emotions regarding the "other" team. Philadelphia is a funny town when it comes to their sporting teams. Our players have even had some rough spots along the way. Our emotions run high in this town when it comes to sports.

As for the Laker's winning, they happen to be a great team. Even their bench players are awesome. But, we did give you a great series; you do have to admit that. It wasn't a total romp like some people thought.

Congratulations to all the Laker's fans. Enjoy the sweet taste of victory, savor the moment. Remember it well, as we'll be seeing you again this same time next year.

I don't hate the Lakers, I detest them. There is a difference. The Lakers are a good team.....no question. I really don't much have an NBA team that I pull for or call my favorite, other than my local Hornets. I like NCAA Ball better for the most part. But I detest the Lakers because IMHO they believe they are the pre-ordained Champion every year. Mind you this year and last they pulled it off, but I just guess maybe it is because they are so good. I pulled for the Sixers because I detest the Lakers and honestly felt the Sixers had a shot. The Sixers played well. My hats off to both teams. Congratulations to the Lakers for winning and Congrats to the Sixers for one heckuva season. There is always next year.

First, to WHoney, tony_gam, Chuckus, coolcucumber, and all other Sixer fans, congratulations on a great year and a great season. You played really well and I'm sure you'll be back next year. I'm proud of my Lakers, though. They had their own share of struggles this year and overcame them all and turned it on at just the right time. They're going to be tough to beat again next year! Being a Mets fan I can't exactly wish the Phillies good luck, but it looks like they'll be in the hunt so have a great baseball season!
