Yesterday, I received a phone call from a the company I work for, and the following conversation took place:

Caller: Hi, this is COMPANY'S NAME in TOWN'S NAME. You've applied for a job with our company, and I was wondering if you're still interested?
Svenska: Ehhhm... I already work for your company, since 2 weeks back..?
Caller: You DO???
Svenska: Yes.
Caller: Ehm... so... you're in the Telemarketing Office, then?
Svenska: Yes.
Caller: Oh, allright, well, this is the Customer Service Office...
Svenska: Well, I did first apply for a job at your place, but then Telemarketing called me because I had forgotten to specify which job I was applying for, and when they called me and said that they had an opening, too, I applied for that job as well, and I got it.
Caller: Oh, I see.
Svenska: But I'm still interested in working for Customer Service, because I only work part-time now, and I need more hours and more money.
Caller: Allright, then I'll talk to the Sales Coaches and see if we can set things up...

My third job. Hat trick!
After 2+ years of being unemployed and living off social security, it feels GREAT to be this sought after!:)

Congrats hon!!!!!

Sounds like you'll get more than you were applying for if they've offered you two positions LOL

^5s hon. You deserve it!!

Congrats Svenska! Getting multiple job offers is always a big boost! In more ways than one, lol.

I talked to the Sales Coach tonight, and he told me to come in early tomorrow and talk to the Sales Coach of the Costumer Service Office, and set up times, meaning I'll transfer from working late evenings to working daytime - which is what I wanted, all along.

I don't know about the hours or the salary yet, but my Sales Coach assured me that it would NOT be less than what I already have, possibly it will be more.:nana:

Congratulations to your new employer for having the brains to recognize some talent and provide it more work, rather than less.

A well deserved soughting-after for you!

Thank you, thank you everyone. I'm so happy that I have so many good-hearted friends to support me in bad times and celebrate with me in good times!  :rose:

The Ketchup Effect, what an interesting name you chose Svenska =) Nonetheless, congratulations on your new position :) Customer Service probably has a lot more room for advancement than telemarketing, so definately a good thing to get into. Maybe it will open all kinds of new 'positions' for you ;)

Way to go! Congrats!

Someone told me a long time ago that it's easier to find a job when you already have one.

Go girl!

But don't take yourself off the market - once things start going up, they can keep going higher. All employers pay you less than they think you're worth (or they wouldn't make a profit). That means that whatever they pay, you're worth more. Take the offer, but don't shut out other bids!

Ride the wave. You're worth even more! (And it's their problem if someone else bids more - as per the current auction within that company.)

Remember: you're good; you're better; you're even better than that! (Most job applicants - and job holders - stink. If you work like you think you ought to, you're WAY above average. I'm what should be average, but 3 different agencies want me. The reason I'm staying with the current one is that I've 'trained' them to know what _I_ like, so it's a two way, equal-status exploitation. I exploit them as much as they exploit me. When I do them a favour, they are grateful enough to do one for me. I think that's a working definition of 'success': as far as work goes, I like what I do and I do what I like. That's your target!)

f5 (nearly f6)

Nice one you Swedish beauty... I knew you'd crack it eventually... Head hunted already wowee!!:D :rose:

OK, now this is getting funny - this morning, A FOURTH company called, asking me to come to an interview!:D

2 interviews in one day, new personal record!

Unfortunately for Caller Number Four, the Costumer Service Office offered me a much better deal; full-time job with 85:-/hour, and 100:-/hour on weekends, before 7am, and after 6pm.
Meaning, that the smallest I could make in one month is 13.600:- SKR.
That's about twice as much as what I get from the Social Office. After tax, I'll have 9.112:- SKR left every month.

I'm rich! I'm rich! Weeeeeeee!!! :nana:
