Apollo sat quietly at the bar, a cup of saki in his hand. He had traveled for what seemed an eternity, trying to find a little peace beyond the usual surroundings of modern life. He found it in Japan, in a rundown shack which once belonged to a samurai named Keisho Takimara. After a few months in exile within this shack, he decided to both learn the way of the samurai and rebuild his new home, transforming it into a gathering spot for others who needed a place to relax from their travels.

Slowly, Apollo drank from the cup, letting the liquor's flavor take him in. With a sigh, he rose from his seat, his wonderfully crafted katana making a slight klinking sound inside it's sheath. He had added many things to this place: a bar for drinks, a lounge around the fireplace, a mini-dojo for sparring and several rooms for sleeping, aside from his own. As he made his way to the door, his eye caught sight of the Ban List. It was empty, but he had no doubt that, one day, the names of those who are banished forever from the bar for foolish behaviour will adorn the parchment.

That doesn't mean no-one can have some "special" fun.. he thought, acknowledging the tastes and desires of his fellow samurai with a small smile. Satisfied with everything, he opened the door, locking it in place, then lowered the "Open" curtain before returning to the bar and his saki.

(This is open to everyone. You must come dressed and act like you're a part of the era this bar is set in, Feudal Japan. Anyone who causes trouble of the bad kind is to leave and not return. Further troublemaking WILL result in a mod/admin being contacted. Other than this, have fun, respect each other and no killing of each other.)

A sigh escapes Apollo's lips. So much for first time customers... He slowly continued sweeping, keeping the dirt outside of the bar.

Quietly shambles along, seeing the sights in this new realm she finds herself in. Noticing the shimmer in the air indicative of an alteration in the realms, Daisy curiously tests it out, stepping boldly through the ripple and finding herself in a feudal Japanese setting complete with a rest haven.

This is a wonderful addition to the realms! thinks Daisy to herself. I think I will make this place another one of my haunts!

Stepping up to the door of the rest home, Daisy focuses her vivid black eyes on the posted memorandum above the door. Reading it over, she examines herself for historical appropriateness. Daisy is a skinny female deadite covered in dirt and cobwebs with a tangled mess of dark hair cascading down her back. She is currently wearing various scraps of torn and ripped fabric that barely qualify as coverings. Her feet are bare and streaked with muck from all her travels and she is unarmed and free of makeup or adornments save for her sack of anything tied over a shoulder. With a rueful shake of her head, Daisy finishes her self-assessment; This is clearly insufficient for these surroundings she concludes. Shrugging a shoulder, she sits down beside the rest haven and begins attempting to make herself presentable and appropriate to the era.

Apollo snaps his fingers and, through a strange range of magic, the zombie girl known as Daisy was wrapped in blue light before she came out, her body fresh and living, her outfit now one of the era's. There you go! Welcome to The Katana's Sheath, my dear. Note that as soon as you leave, you'll revert to normal. He gave her a sweet smile.

Favors the nice fellow with a big smile that shows way too many teeth, then assesses her outer appearance.

"Oooh! Neat! I was simply intending to disguise my self as a shikome, but masquerading as living is even better! Thank you so much kind sir! Arigato!"

Daisy is enthusiastically testing her flexibility and agility by doing little dance steps and stretches. Satisfied that she has guaged her boundaries, she bows from the waist and introduces herself.

"I call myself Daisy, like the flower, and am delighted to make your acquaintance! Did you build this place yourself?"

Apollo bowed kindly in return. My name is Apollion, but you can call me Apollo, like the sun god. The building once belonged to an old friend of mine. I simply rebuilt it and add more... come inside, have some saki with me. He slowly gestured to the entrance of the establishment.

Daisy, despite being garbed in the outer appearance of a living girl, is still herself and therefore treats the invitation as an order. She bows her head in acquiescence.

"Understood Apollo. I will comply immediately."

She steps lightly into the establishment and spins around, taking in the dojo, the lounge and the blank banned list in a single glance. Determining the bar is the most likely place for sake to be consumed, she finds a spot with two seats and sits down, wondering whether she should retrieve and pour the sake or not.

Apollo followed, confused about her compliance. He sat down in front of her and poured the sake for the both of them. There you go, sweetie... He smiled then gently took his cup and took a small sip. He was finally relieved to have company, but he wondered if there will ever be more.

Sips the sake slowly, her eyes widening with great surprise.

"This beverage is excellent! I especially enjoy the temperature as well as the flavour and steam."

Unprepared for the overall alcoholic effect of sake, Daisy rapidly finishes her first cup and looks as if she might like another. She revels in the new experience and positively glows with delight.

Apollo chuckles. "Be careful, don't drink too fast! You'll be knocked drunk off your pretty ass if you have too much..." He slowly moved to her side and poured her another cup. "Bits at a time..."

Daisy nods her head with understanding, regarding the drink more cautiously, as if it might be dangerous. She proceeds to take a single sip and then be content with holding the steaming cup with both hands and appreciating the warmth.

"Thank you very much, and by the way this place looks beautiful! You say it required rebuilding? Well, you have done a magnificent job! I am certain it will see many visitors!"

The samurai made a kind face. "Thank you, my dear! It took a while... hopefully, this place will be either regularly visited or swarming... if not... it just means more privacy for those... "fun" moments." He winked before returning to his spot and sipping his cup again.

"Lets have a fire going." He snapped his fingers and the fireplace came to life.

"Fun moments are frequent in the lands of the living!" Grins Daisy, watching the pretty flames dance. "That is one of the reasons I pace the land of literotica. So many nice, living things that do not run. I suspect some of them should run though."

She looks sadly into the fireplace, her eyes reflecting the blaze and stops says "I met a nice elvin pirate, but he died when he tried to mate with me. Perhaps I should avoid mating with fragile creatures."

Apollo looked at Daisy sadly then moved back over, cup in hand this time, and rubbed her arm gently. "I'm sure you didn't mean it... don't worry about that here, though. You can do it with anyone. The temporary body also removes living things from inside your body and makes your blood and heart warm and working too."

He chuckled. "Please don't think I just invited you in to get you drunk and have my way with you. That's your choice."

Looks startled at the idea that someone would attempt to get her drunk and take advantage of her, but mollified at the conciliatory statement that it'd be her choice. She shivers slightly at her arm being rubbed (given that she's not used to having living nerve endings in her skin) but doesn't pull away. She seems incapable of moping about past events for long though, as she is quickly smiling again. She remarks:

"That makes this place ideal! I need not restrain my impulses here as I can harm none with my innately violent nature. Thank you very much for my living state, it is delightful and I shall certainly make use of it!"

Daisy hugs Apollo as hard as she can and is delighted that none of his bones break. She touches every textured surface in reach and giggles at the sensations they provoke, this includes stroking her clothings, her own skin and the hilt of the katana Apollo is wearing.

Apollo laughed and watched happily as Daisy touched everything, enjoying her new living form. As she touched his katana, he smiled. "You are very welcome... as long as my visitors are satisfied in this place, then I'm satisfied."

He took another sip before putting the cup down. "I assume you would like something to eat? Or maybe something else?"

(apologies for the delayed responses. I am currently scouring the net for Lordi and Nile MP3's)

"Um. I doubt my dietary preferences are suitable to this location but I enjoy tasting and ingesting things that I do not need to eat. I am contented, but would not turn down eatables."

Daisy grins sheepishly and sits back down, next to Apollo instead of across from him. She can't remember being alive ever before, so this is all a new experience for her.

"Well, I'm not sure I can serve brains... but let me see." Apollo snapped his fingers and the table was filled with a mix of many types of sushi and general Japanese servings, with a container of steamed rice. He took two bowls and filled them with rice, before handing one to Daisy. "Pick one, pick all, if you want. If there's anything you want, I'm sure I'll comply." He said with a smile.

Snags some Negi Toro Maki and eats it, using her hands to eat because she is not used to utensils. She smiles appreciatively as the flavours dance on her tongue and then tries some pickled ginger.

"Do I have an open invitation to return here when I have spare time?" inquires the little lass hopefully, feeling the pull of alternate realms on her being but wanting to return.

Apollo nodded. "You are always welcome here... besides... why would I not have you back?" With that, he delicately planted a kiss on her forehead. He knew it would be the first time since her rebirth that she felt a man's lips on her skin, so he smiled. "Consider that a special invitiation."

He took some sushi and had a bite of it before placing the bowl down and finishing his sake.

Daisy blinks her eyes in surprise at the tingle feeling of soft lips on her skin and allows a soft "oh" to escape her vocals. Regretfully, she turns towards the door and bows politely before exiting. Heer voice trails back through the doorway...

"I shall return at my earliest convenience! Thank you again for... well, for everything!"

Apollo smiled. "You're welcome once again!" he called after her. Knowing she was gone, the food and sake disappeared at the quiet sigh that escaped his lips. Slowly, he rose from the seat and moved closer to the fire, once again feeling alone.

A frustrated Apollo knelt outside the shop, trying to calm himself down. He wondered if Daisy would come back today. Her company can work wonders when she wasn't eating someone's brains.

Apollo wandered the bar, gazing around the dust-covered shelves. He left this place to rot. He picked up Yeisha's Easter card and smiled then slipped it into his gi. With a sigh, he snapped his fingers. The dust billowed out of the bar, the food and beverages replaced by new and fresh versions and the fireplace roared back to life.

Apollo smiled. "... and we're back in business."
