Read this joke online this morning, thought someone might be able to build an interesting story around it:

Mrs. Donnell said to her maid: "Oh Mary, I suspect that my husband is having an affair with his secretary."

"I don't believe it," Mary snapped: "you're just saying that to make me jealous."

What if the wife responds something like :

"Yes, Mary, I know. I hired you because I wanted his needs satisfied by someone I knew and trusted."

It's a cute joke. I don't think the wife's line would be something I could/would write though. I think the husband's affair should be a secret that the maid just now accidently let out of the bag. Perhaps she tries to recant. "Oh, uh, I didn't mean that. Honest!" So, does the wife believe her or no? Hell, I guess, could the wife have known all along? What if she's attracted to the maid and so for "punishment" the wife gets to eat her now? lol

Oh, in my mind, the next line was the maid replying

"And I know how much you love eating the creampie he makes in me."

yes, I went there....

There's an old blues song, sung from the perspective of the mistress of a married man, to the man's wife. It's called "Woman, your husband is cheating on us!"
