The Isolated Political Blurt Thread

Losing Hillary.
It reminds me that I have been here, before.

G.W.Bush, got in, and that was when I felt fear.

I have forgotten how I worded it.

The dual images.

The Eath cracked in half.
The Earth poisoned into lifelessness

I believed G.W. had the capacity to end everything.

This new monster, that we have.

Too real.

Too unreal.

Lauren Easton, the news organization's director of media relations, said The Associated Press removed the email address from subsequent stories after learning Karen Pence still used the account.

 WTF?

I am certain that My Ogre Husband would not give a hacked email account to me, and tell me that it was OK use it.

"29 pages of emails from Pence's AOL account, which were released by the office of Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb."

The 'Trump Slump'.

In the U.S., the drop in tourism has already been dubbed the “Trump Slump.” Tourism Economics, a U.S forecasting firm, said the U.S. could see an eight per cent drop in foreign tourism this year, costing the American economy an estimated $10.8 billion.

U.S. travel promotion also is being cut. The budget for the Visit Florida program, a favourite destination for Canadians, has been slashed to $25 million this year from $76 million.

The U.S. also is locked in a battle with the European Union over requiring visas for travellers.

The European Parliament is threatening retaliation after the U.S. government imposed visa requirements on visitors from four EU nations in eastern Europe.

It feels like January was a year ago and November was five years ago and a year ago was a hundred years ago.

Politically.

Phelia, it feels as if the Republican party's annoying tendencies were marmoset sized, when Romney was Massachusett's governor.

Now, Emperor Caligula Carrot has unleashed problems that are so numerous and horrible, it is like having an immense flock of pterodactyls of varying size and age.

Emperor Carrot unleashes more, every day.

Oh god I'd much rather have a flock of pterodactyls. Is it too late to trade for that??

It has been a very disorienting few months. I feel angry and sad and tired a lot (tectonic life change + you, know, apocalypse). Sometimes I indulge in it, but I will not let it turn into discouragement.

Is it just me, or has the RWCJ gloating already diminished to a trickle compared to the rushing torrent of arrogant puffery we recently endured? :D

Well, it's pretty hard to sustain propaganda support forever for a man who used them and threw them away--and demonstrated up front that that was exactly what he would do.

March 15, 2017

Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg had her 84th birthday.
