OH hooray! Nice time! We are so, so, so happy to read a nice thing after this week of awfulness! Incredibly badass Wisconsin Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Obviously) will be introducing a bill next week called the Top 1% Accountability Act, which will require all rich people claiming over $150,000 in tax deductions to undergo a drug test to make sure they’re not spending that money on drugs. They would have to submit a drug test, no more than three months old, or take a much lower standard deduction when filing taxes.

OH I LOVE HER. I LOVE HER SO GODDAMNED MUCH. SHE IS MY HERO AND EVERYTHING I WISH I COULD BE!!! Who cares if the primaries are over? I am electing her president of my heart, right now.

This is in response, you see, to the many states that drug test those who receive cash welfare assistance, and to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker suing the federal government for not allowing him to drug test people getting food stamps. The assumption with these laws is that they will save states tons of money by kicking off welfare all the people who spend their government assistance riches on drugs. As it turns out, there are not nearly as many of those people out there as Republicans imagine. Weird! And the cost of those programs far outweigh the benefits! Other than the smug satisfaction of getting to insinuate to poor people that you think they are probably on drugs!

Mr.HWMNBN has spawned Mr.HWMNBN clones.

It would seem to be wasted energy, for the GOP to try to de- escalate this race to the bottom.

The clones are competing to rival Mr.HWMNBN's vulgarity and obsenities.
 
Glad to see some members of Congress acting like caring human beings--and, in the process, showing up those owned by the NRA.
 
Republicans did the same thing but in support of Big Oil. Democrats used same tactics, shut off cameras and walked out.

But I will give the nod to the Democrats fro hampering the smooth operation of government for a much better reason than oil company profits.

On September 25, 2015, Texas mom Christy Sheats wrote a tribute to her two daughters, aged 17 and 22 on her Facebook wall.

Today, she shot them both dead.

When the police arrived, they shot Christy Sheats after determining that she had shot both of her daughters in the street after a family argument.

In March, Christy Sheats wrote about her fears that Obama would take away her guns.

"It would be horribly tragic if my ability to protect myself or my family were to be taken away," she wrote, "but that's exactly what Democrats are determined to do by banning semi-automatic handguns."

She posted that comment above a video posted by 911Stong, run by a "God-fearing family man who is a Southern California Police Officer and University Professor," according to that Facebook page.

I cannot help thinking today that three people would still be alive, including two lovely young women who were just embarking on their lives together if only Obama had taken her guns.

It's terribly tragic that he didn't. And also disturbing.

I listened to HWMNBN for all of the rally on video.
It was ghastly.
Even his most enthusiastic fans tire of his method, after awhile.

He may be old, and jolly, but thank god he is back! He actually got things accomplished with "contract with America.....Gingrich AND Clinton reached agreements on welfare reform, capital gains tax cut, and a budget deal that led to four straight balanced budgets.

And you probably believe that was a good thing. Those 'balanced budgets' came on the back of an explosion in private debt which eventually led to the 2007 financial melt down and all the subsequent strife.

Be careful what you wish for.
