3 young Sudanese men killed ‘execution-style’ in Indiana, but where is media coverage:

Police in the US state of Indiana say they are yet to identify a motive for the “execution-style” murders of three young Muslim-American men last week, in a case that has barely caused a ripple in mainstream media in the United States

The three men - 23-year-old Mohamedtaha Omar, 20-year-old Adam Mekki and 17-year-old Muhannad Tairab - were found dead in a house in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Wednesday,

The men, who police said hailed from Africa’s eastern Sahel region, had all been shot multiple times. Police said the murders were not believed to be gang-related.

“Eidi Mohamed, 20, a student, remembers all three of the Sudanese boys in middle school as “really into sports, specifically soccer.” “There are a few news channels here covering but it really isn’t getting attention like the Chapel Hill shooting” he went on to say. Asked whether or not the area has a history of overt racism towards Blacks or Muslims Mohamed recalled, “I’ve always heard about racist things going on in Fort Wayne, parts of Fort Wayne have a lot of African Americans and African Immigrants.” - http://muslimmatters.org/

Since the media won’t cover the story, we will. Sad to see that the few times the media covered this story, they tried to paint the victims as thugs, criminals, etc. This story is just as important as any other story repeatedly talked about in the news.

PLEASE REBLOG, SHARE THIS STORY ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA, ETC. LET THIS STORY BE HEARD. WE CAN’T BE QUIET!

The Perfect Explanation of Privilege – In One Powerful Punchline

“The Pencilsword” is a comic strip by Toby Morris, an illustrator from New Zealand. His most recent comic, “On a Plate” hits hard at the heart of the issues of concerning wealth and privilege.

How many times have you heard the “I’ve never been handed anything on a platter” argument in regard to social security and other social benefits?

Toby wrecks this argument by showing how two children can grow up, be loved and supported, and yet still have two very different outcomes.

Make sure to follow all the way to the end for the powerful punchline. This comic is an increasingly sad reality for far too many of this nation’s children and families.

JEB! is holding meetings with Kasich, Rubio, and Cruz, possibly as the prelude to an endorsement.

I guess the same people who swore the Romney speech was a Big Deal will find this fascinating news.

When I see stuff like that all I can think or say is...

God save the Queen and Canada.

No one in Canada would stand a chance of being elected with views like that. Never nominated by any party. Might get troll support on media comments pages at most. I doubt they could even hold a government job at any level. They would be fired as soon as they opened their mouth. On the job or off.

Peace, order and good government.

This is one of those chicken/egg issues. The poor live beside toxic dumps. Blacks are poor (generalization).

I am proud to be a Canadian, a Yorkshireman, and Englishman. None of these has anything to do with my skin colour. For that I feel 'lucky'. I think.

My best friend growing up was part native and Asian. Even in rural Ontario were you NEVER saw Asians. Where natives kept to themselves. I still heard racist remarks directed at him. From kids who had never even probably seen or talked with an Asian person. Or met a native. Their parents had probably never met an Asian person. People of colour were that rare. You couldn't even blame them for crime because they were not present in the population. No underprivileged non-whites because there were no non-whites. And still persistent racism. For no explainable reason. Not even the lame excuse non-whites are criminals and welfare cases.

Fucked up!

Looks like we're getting a SCOTUS candidate this morning. This could be entertaining.

Stephen Colbert on the GOP race resulting in a brokered convention: The Republican campaign could start all over again - this time, crammed into one week. You can binge watch the death of the GOP.

I can see no clear path forward. I like this phrase, which seems to be used a lot when a campaign comes to a battered end.
