There seems to be a lot of the feudal spirit echoing this and I wonder if it can be taken a step or two further. I have only a sketchy idea of possible plot but maybe:

A couple arrive in the community (an island?) as e.g. new school head/postmaster/shopkeeper/doctor/whatever and slowly but surely begin to realise there is a strong air of hierarchy around. The Lord and Lady of the manner seem to rule the roost and have the final say in many aspects of local life.

Come the community dance (where most of the folk are present) at the 'Manor' (?) the wife finds herself, after a spiked drink, laid out in one of the many bedrooms and being held down by several other wives while the Lord soundly fucks her.

She is told that she is now a member of the Local Wives Club and will be expected to make herself available in future, on demand, or there will be repercussions for her husband in the shape of trumped-up charges of misconduct and a damning work reference.

Similarly, the Lady of the Manor has her way with the husband, although I need ideas for this.

It turns out that the whole community is held in thrall in this way and that the couple's young child can expect his/her parents to overnight away occasionally.

Maybe there is the possibility of this 'Droits de Seigneur' situation extending to the fathering of more of the Lord's offspring among the local families..?

The first suggestion that I want to made is this: if you write a story, I think it would be helpful, if you go back in time. I mean, nowadays there are things like Cell phones, satellite phones, GPS tracking, search planes, cars and stuff like that. Sure, you can get lost. But if you have GPS system, the risk is smaller. The same with being found. Most people nowadays have mobile phones and can call for help. The changes of being found if you got lost is much better then in earlier times.
So go back 20-30 years - no mobile phones. Or go back 150-200 years - no planes, no cars, no telephones.

Just think: 200-300 years ago, there is this boy and his sister. Their father is rich, maybe he is even the king of a country or something like that. Due to some reasons (maybe politics or just ransom) his kids are captured by one of his enemies. They are put on a ship and brought away from their home country (maybe the opponent is from a foreign country, maybe an island - reminds me on the conflict between Great Britain and France or Spain)

Anyway: during a storm the ship sinks and everybody drowns except for the kids. They strand on a small secluded island. On this island they find stuff like coconuts and bananas (so it has to be somewhere in a warm region) and they manage to catch fish and rabbits, so they wont starve. After weeks and weeks they give up hope of being rescued.

But after some time they also feel the need for sex. They have been raised very prudish, so things like nudity was totally forbidden. Maybe they never thought about sex in the past (maybe no one ever told them were the babies came from) But maybe one of the crewman on the ship did some things. I don't mean rape, but maybe he ripped away the girls clothes and starts to touch her boobs and pussy, right in front of her brother. Since he is bound, he can't help her. Just when the creman wants to pull his hard dick out of his pants (or maybe he already has it out) to fuck her, the captor comes in and tells him to stop - the ransom will be bigger, if the girl is unhurt and still a virgin. I agree about getting lost, but if it's a shipwreck then you may only get ashore with the clothes you are wearing. No luggage and the cell phone is soaked in seawater, and if it was a sudden storm - no time to get an SOS off.

hmmm...interesting idea, I like the whole isolated community concept, lots of cultish overtones could be worked in.

Perhaps there is some kind of concoction that the Lord created that he spikes the men's food or drink with that makes them really docile. Then they don't really mind their wives being basically sex slaves of the Lord of the manor. The women could go along with it because he convinces them that if he stops giving it to their husbands they would suffer horribly painful withdrawl and probably die from it. Meanwhile it makes them willing little playthings for his Lady, who might lean a bit to the sadistic side herself.

As a side note, every couple invited to join the community has at least one child of their own. That way as the children grow the gene pool doesn't get too cloudy.

Lost in the Jungle

A group of people on vacation hear about staying in a night in a rainforest tree house near a resort. perhaps a family or group of friends or an assortment of young college kids from all over the world who just met.

Everyone thinks it would be a great idea.

The resort sends them out without a guide and they get horribly lost.

After wandering through the jungle for days, they become very dehydrated and close to death when they come across a group of friendly naked native people.

The natives are a small wandering group of men and women.
They gather food from the forest and hunt mostly birds.

They care for the travelers and allow them to rest and eat.

The next morning the travelers wake up and are brought to a waterfall to fish.

The travelers strip and bathe and swim with the natives.

Sorry but which country would that be? I know that many Americans, for example, seem to think that there is only one country but I'm sure you wouldn't have been so insular...

As a matter of fact, yes, harem management, BDSM and impregnation would all be strong contenders in this scenario.

Basically, the situation I have in mind is one where the whole community has this barely disguised, hierarchical structure based on feudalistic pecking order. It would not just be the 'Lord' who would have call on a newcomer's wife but also people of higher 'status', possibly including lesbianism-inclined females. If there were to be any dissent in the ranks, the 'Lord' could call on the community to ostracise the dissenter(s), rendering their position on the 'island' almost untenable.

Last year, my wife and I spent a week holidays in a small town here in Germany. The town had like 180 inhabitants. We had a single room in a small boarding house, and inside our room, we had no handy coverage. And I don't mean stuff like HSDPA or similar 3G services, I mean basic handy coverage, just to talk. We had to get out of the boarding house and walk a few yards until we got coverage. My wife even wanted to go online with the Laptop and an HSDPA/UMTS stick ... so we walked around with the laptop open to find a spot with high speed coverage ... we never found it.

Of course, I think for a story, this wouldn't work. The holes in the coverage would be too small. I guess, Germany is too small geographically wise. But when I think about the huge countries like Australia or Russia ... or the entire South America and Africa ... down in the desert or in the jungle, mobile phone coverage also should be not so good.

Why this discussion about mobiles?

Technology is a marginal matter here. We are talking about the kind of local pressure which renders contact with the 'outside world' almost irrelevant.

The only option for any 'dissenter' would be to up and leave - at the cost of dreadful job references, an engineered lack of local interest in buying his/her house and suchlike.
