I am not here all that much since Byron died, and no one reads me GB posts that I missed in the morning any more. Things seem particularly unpleasant here this morning so I said something.

Old timers here are probably set in their ways but you are new and can still learn.

Sometimes people on the GB try to wind each other up, esp. newbies. The trick to dealing with it is to make it a game and instead of increasing the vitrol and nastiness, try to turn it around.
It is good practice for other areas of ones life.

I prefer the GB when it makes me laugh. Even a nice well crafted insult would be an improvement to name calling.

Plus a few of the Blurt regulars (Fata, for example) are encouraging -indirectly or overtly- his stalking.

So yup, I'm going to play the game in an "Emerson" way by starting to let the cat out of the bag (as far as he's concerned) and so on.

it's like that shitty movie with bella boredom and jesse eisenberg, american ultra. it really wants to be fun, but it's not quite pulling it off. like a comic book you read when you were 13 and thought was crazy awesome, but then you grew up read it again and realized it was neat and everything, but amateurish, juvenile and kinda half baked.
