I can't remember a dearer subject to me once I became aware than geography, and all these years later I still don't know of one that interests me naturally more...
...yet, I am not to ashamed to admit I had no idea Burkina Faso even existed, let alone that France instigated a deadly violent coup d'état there and its chosen tool has ruled over the place for almost 30 years now.
Now the bozo has ordered a state of emergency as the parliament burns and after an Army general has declared the government and parliament dissolved...
...just because he insists on another term in office.
What is it about this place - "one of the world's poorest countries" - that France is so interested in obviously oppressing it over?
It has some rather nice mineral deposits. Lots of gold and rare earth type stuff.
