He keeps insisting that we, (the "howling mob"), can't tolerate any opinion that doesn't confirm with our view, (aka "the one true way"). Yet, you and me, we have vastly different world views on some important and fundamental issues and yet manage to play together just fine.

I doubt he actually thinks that, he's a troll and is being contrary for the fun of it. If we said the sky is blue he'd say is neon pink, and that by not agreeing with him we're proving that we can't tolerate any opinion that isn't his. I mean, yes, a bit more clever than the trolls who come here screaming obscenities, but still not that uncommon in a troll.
