OOC- I was wondering if there's anyone who would like to join a shipwrecked setting. I would prefer to keep it small and intimate, so preferably one or two female characters to my one male. Essentially, we'll have all been on a small plane that went down over the pacific. The few survivors managed to struggle their way to the shore of a nearby island.
IC- Jonathan struggled against the undertow as his feet touched solid ground for the first time. The waves still crashed against his back, and threatened to pull him back out to sea alternately, but he couldn't stop from letting out a shout of victory. he had lived!
Just an hour ago, he'd surfaced from where the "South Pacific Tours" plane had dropped into the sea. He remembered the other 20 or so passengers screaming, and then blackness as they jarred into the ocean. Jonathan wasted no time in acting. He checked two passengers who had been next to him, but felt no pulses. As he moved to see if anyone else was alive in the pitch black cabin, he heard water rushing towards him. It sweeped him into an empty seat, twisting his arm. The need to fight came over him however, and he grabbed a quick breath and dove towards the open door. If he didn't get out of the plane before it sank completely, he wasn't going to make it. Water fought him every step as it rapidly filled the cabin, but Jonathan was able to force his way through it. He dived into the open ocean and began swimming, ignoring the pain in his arm. When he looked back, under the starlight a few minutes later, he could see nothing but rolling waves. Squinting, he thought he saw land to the North and began to move.
Upon reaching dry ground, Jonathan fell to his knees, gasping for air. He was a handsome man, athletic build, with sandy blond hair and piercing blue eyes. He was a track star in college, but currently was cursing the spring break in which he'd been convinced to fly South pacific Tours. Sitting on the sand, he scanned the shoreline. He could see a piece of baggage a small distance down the shore, probably not his. He'd exhausted his luck supply for today. Resting a few more minutes, he struggled to his feet and began jogging. If there were any other survivors, they might need help.
