Can someone explain to me, why the Islam issue is even relevant to furthering a conservative domestic agenda, whether that be economic conservative, social conservative, libertarian conservative or any permutation or combination of the above.

I don't see how the Islam question, or the Russia question, or any other foreign policy question is something that those fighting liberalism should waste their time or energy on. At best its a sideshow that distracts from real issues of concern to right leaning reformers. At worst, its part of a conspiracy to hijack conservatism or other rightwing ideologies for things which have nothing to do with issues affecting America here at home.

Not only that, if you want to lower the size of government, and reduce taxes, having an endless on-going no-win war against a fifth of the world's population, is not really good way to do that.

It isn't...it's the last flailing efforts to cling to some kind of power after you and yours lost your war against freedom with your conservative social/domestic agendas.

People like to be entertained, inebriated, pleasured and they will pay top dollar for it. So if you want to look at it from an economic standpoint capitalism and the free market destroyed your conservative war on social and religious freedom in america. At least there is that!!

You should tell your GOP/Tea party buddies that.....they are convinced that we NEED an eternal military occupation of the middle east with no clear goals or objectives. Because stuff....

Lacking any real ideas, deflection & distraction is what the current conservative movement has.

The danger is that focusing attention on Islam is also demonstrating what happens when religious conservatives are given control over state power.

Its simple, Libs want all Americans to become boot licking prison bitches of Islam.
