The Internet Addiction Test

33 - average user. I'm just average...awww, I thought I'd come out more addicted than that. Maybe when I was just starting out with hubs and most of our contact was online I would have done.

You are experiencing occasional or frequent problems because of the Internet. You should consider their full impact on your life.

Although I really think that number is a little low. I'm addicted, but I know that if I didn't have it I would get over it, so my answers reflected that, and it skewed it a bit.

i'm an average online user it said. 33. the shit that got me was this woman offers ONLINE COUNSELING for people with INTERNET ADDICTIONS, and if you have an INTERNET ADDICTION, you can check out the new RECOVERY BLOG.

Not really. You offer counselling to people in prison don't you? To help them when they get out of prison. Same thing, really. You are trapped online, and afraid of going to a real therapist, so you find one online, which gives you the help you need to go outside.

sorry but prison's a little bit different. you don't actually HAVE an option to just walk out and head over to your counseling session. if you have an internet addiction, get a sponsor. have someone drive you to your counseling. it's a little idiotic and backwards to offer online counseling to the person in need. kind of like dangling the carrot in front of the rabbit.

p.s. if people with net addictions want help badly enough, they WOULD go through the trouble of getting a sponsor, having a support system, and getting someone to get their ass out of that chair every day or week or however frequent their sessions are. how do i know? because i have close friends in the same situations.
